  • Azeem-o-shaan Shahenshah Presented by-: Manendra Shukla
    • Third emperor of the Mughal Empire
    • Born on 15 th October,1542
    • Succeeded his father Emperor Humayun in the year 1556, at the age of 13 years
    • Ascended the throne in delhi at the age of 13 years & 6 months.
    • Full Name – Abu’l-Fath Jalal ud-din Muhammed Akbar I
    • Made significant contribution in the field of Art.
    • Religious Beliefs- Din-i-Ilahi

    • Religious Belief – Din-i-Ilahi.
    • He was an artisan, warrior, artist, armourer, blacksmith, carpenter, emperor, general, inventor, animal trainer, lace maker, technologist & technician.

    • Contributed to arts.
    • Initiated a large collection of literature, including the Akbar-nama & the Ain-i-Akbari.
    • A wise ruler & a sound judge of character .
    • Marriage proved to be a turning point in the history of Mughal Empire.
    • Always ready to risk his life, regardless of political consequences.
    • First battle was against Sikandar Shah Suri of Punjab.
    • Died in 27 th October,1605
    • Also known for his Navratnas, the nine jewels in Akbar’s Court.
    • Navratnas were:
    • Abul-Fazel, his Grand Vizier
    • Faizi, the poet laureate
    • Miyan Tansen, the musician
    • Birbal, the only person other than Akbar who believed ion Din-i-Ilahi. His duties were mostly military & administrative
    • Raja Todar Mal, finance minister
    • Raja Man Singh, a trusted general in Akbar’s army
    • Abdur Rahim Khan-I-Khana, poet
    • Fakir Aziao Din, one of Akbar’s chief advisor
    • Mullah Do Piaza, another chief advisor.
