  3. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Hugh Colmer, artist and philosopher, believes the Tarot belongs to the same iconographic tradition as Egyptian hieroglyphics and is a Perfect Language of Images. Punctuated with 78 stunning images replete with ancient symbolism “Dragon Lore Decoded” delves into the mystery of a greater unseen “Power,” that not only exists, but controls the everything of who and what we are. Hugh possesses an array of talents that have led him from agent/producer of art and photography to the investigation of comparative myth and religion. Inspired by his initial searches, he co-wrote a novel with Anthony Masters in 1995 called “Hidden Gods: The Doorway,” wherein a news photographer is on an urgent quest to find the secrets of Atlantis encoded into the Great Pyramid. During Hugh’s examination of myth and religion, he realized that the Cross and the Circle were the most profound symbols of all time and so inspired him to register The Crosscircle Group to publish books and writings on spiritual ‘Truth.’ His core inspiration and commitment is to share the wisdom of the ancients, like that found in the ‘Book of Thoth’ and its subsequent incarnations as the Tarot. Like those who were part of the Knights Templar, he is dedicated to uncovering and sharing the Truth of the Ages, which is the raison d’etre for the art and text he created for “Dragon Lore Decoded.” Hugh and his wife Carol run a spiritual retreat center in Windham, NY.
  4. The Hermetic Tarot The serpent is the symbol of wisdom and the wise Nagas of Hindu literature are none other than Rishis, Yogis, Adepts Magi, and the Hermetic Magicians. The fact that we question the Hermetic Teachings as a method or a doctrine highlights the limitation of “three dimensional minds,” The Italian physicist Giuliana Conforto’s LUH, Man's Cosmic Game: highlights our rigid thinking and sees us in tune with cosmic oneness through the fluidity of the Hermetic traditions. Her book is another sign that human history has reached a prelude in the Cosmic Game by integrating metaphysical, scientific, and artistic concepts. In order to understand the ‘Game of the Matrix’ we need to experience other “invisible realities” as well. Our “reality” reflects our level of consciousness. Thoth-Hermes has long been associated with the Tarot, which is said by many to be the embodiment of Hermetic teachings. The arcana continually call us back to the spirit of the hieroglyphs that make up the Tarot, which also reside in the heart. It is only in this sacred place that we can receive and contain the inner spiritual truth that can transform us. Aldous Huxley christened the Tarot as "Perennial Philosophy," a timeless science of the soul or a time capsule that surfaces in times of need. Its premise is that there exists an archetypal mind that determines physical reality, and individuals can access that realm through direct knowledge of the god within. The Hermetic tradition is one of the oldest spiritual traditions in the world, and while no direct evidence links the ‘Book of Thoth’ to Eastern religions, it shares concepts and terminology with Taoism, Adwaita Vedanta, and Buddhism. In the West, the Emerald Tablets found a home not only in the pagan tradition but also in all three of the orthodox Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), and many of the most heretical beliefs of the Gnostics suppressed at the Council of Nicea are also expressed in it. Like Thoth, the Gnostics believed that direct knowledge of reality could be attained through psychological discipline and Self enquiry. They also shared a common view of the universe in which "All Is One," a pattern of creation and decay symbolized by the Ouroboros (the serpent eating its own tail).
  5. The axiom, As Above, So Below, is well represented in both the myths of the constellations above and the myths of events on earth and in the underworld within, which if decoded correctly, reveal the history of the world. “Serpent energy” and the Serpent in its many shapes are omnipresent. It is the Serpent that represents Prometheus’s spark of mind, and the knowledge of who and what we are that leads to immortality. Kundalini is the dormant power present in everyone lying like a coiled serpent in the etheric body at the base of the spine. This coiled serpent has been waiting for the moment when the soul begins to integrate the physical, astral and mental bodies. This ‘spiritual’ force awakens the pineal gland, and opens the third eye to the subtler planes of life. Meditation, study, self -discipline and selfless service influence the soul; this will ensure a parallel awakening of the etheric force centers at the base of the spine. When this process is practiced the awakening will not be dangerous. Humanity evolved over time, as did the zodiac from eight to ten signs and then to 12 signs--the dinosaurs and sea-monsters, became the crocodiles, the Makara (Capricorn) the Dragons of Wisdom. The key to earlier civilizations is present within the animals of the zodiac wheel especially as the 13th sign Ophiuchus, the Serpent-Bearer near the constellation of Scorpio also formerly symbolized as the phoenix a marriage of a serpent, and an eagle. The Garuda is the symbol of Scorpio. Mušḫuššu the splendid dragon is associated with Marduk. It gave rise to the Lernaean Hydra of Greek mythology and ultimately to the modern Hydra constellation. Hydra, the great sea serpent, is the largest constellation in the heavens extending over four zodiacal constellations. It occupies the southern sky in spring bordering Cancer, extending to Leo, Virgo to as far as Libra and Centaurus. Similarly Pisces is connected with Cetus, or Leviathan the Whale holding Jonas captive, or Tiamat, the Sea-Monster, who symbolized Draco the Dragon, who spawned the animals of the zodiac. Aquarius’s serpentine connections have been covered up in Greek Myth and is generally assumed to be a case for homosexuality yet Hindu astrology gives the clue as Aquarius is called Khumba, the pot, which pours soma or amrita, another name for the serpent energy from the Galactic Center or the sacred blood of the serpent goddess to enlighten and heal the world. Cosmologist Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet holds that the myth of Vishnu’s ‘Three Strides’ are to be understood in terms of the movement of the Precession of the Equinoxes and the Astrological Ages corresponding to the fixed signs of the Zodiac. But there is a major disagreement over which sign of the zodiac is first. PNB concludes that Scorpio in the form of the Garuda or Phoenix is known to be Vishnu’s ‘Vahana’ or Vehicle, symbolizes the fixed sign of Scorpio. The three strides of Vishnu begin in the Age of Scorpio and moves in reverse zodialogical order through the other three fixed signs of the Zodiac: Leo, Taurus and Aquarius. PNB teaches that each of Vishnu’s steps through the Ages of the fixed signs, an Avatar comes to Earth to assist the evolution of consciousness which implies that an ancient zodiacal knowledge is embedded in the Hindu myth of the Ten Avatars of Vishnu. Thousands of years ago Vishnu came to earth in the form of a Tortoise to help the devas gain the wisdom of immortality through drinking amrita. The giant pterodactyl like Garuda siezed the pot of amrita or sacred blood from the serpent Vasuki and flew away from the battle-scene and it is believed that four drops of this nectar fell in the Ganges and became the basis for the belief that the Ganges has a mystical power because of the amrita. Kumbh Mela is celebrated every twelve years there as it is believed that after bathing there one can get moksha. A study of the Aquarius glyph makes it apparent that it represents serpent energy and, in those days, it was the serpent spewing forth both fire and water.
  6. Astrology today forgets that there were originally ten signs of the zodiac when Virgo and Scorpio were one. The constellation Libra was originally part of the constellation Scorpius, and represented the claws of the scorpion. It was the Romans who cut the claws off the scorpion and made them into a new constellation named Libra, which represented the scales of justice. So the original ten signs became twelve. Virgo and Scorpio, Lilith and the Serpent are one; inextricably entwined around the tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. Scorpio is not the poisonous Scorpion, but the Serpent. In fact Scorpio's ultimate symbol is the Phoenix, a marriage of serpent and eagle from Lemurian times. In early Lemuria there was the zodiac of 8 signs. It was governed by Scorpio and Scorpio also marked the end of that zodiac. Alice A. Bailey, Esoteric Astrology. The Secret Doctrine’s belief that the Age of Virgo-Scorpio or the Phoenix ruled over the Motherland of MU or Lemuria 18 million years ago would seem to support PNB’s theory. Ancient Egyptians originally regarded Hu, the Celestial Phoenix as the giver of Life but changed the New Beginning to Leo as Scorpio or Hu’s influence waned. The Phoenix is a winged Serpent, or Dragon, a combination of the two highest aspects of Scorpio. But by 14,000 BCE. the priests wanted a new god for the Age of Leo. Their new beginning, Zep Tepi was an astronomical alignment of the Sun, Orion, and the constellation of Leo. From Zep Tepi onward the precession of the equinoxes has Orion/Osiris ascending. Hu is the ancient name for God, and and the sound Hhhhhhooooooo, was the breath of the cosmos. In Egyptian myth the phoenix is revered as an embodiment of Hu who, like Osiris, is a symbol of death and resurrection. The emblem of the tribe of Dan was the serpent, in fulfilment of Jacob’s prophecy in Genesis 49:17: “To Dan was given the symbol of Scorpio, which, in the ancient Egyptian zodiac was a Pheonix. Richard Allen Hinckley indicates that Ophiuchus should replace Scorpio as the sun actually passes through the two portions [of Scorpio] that project upward into Ophiuchus, so far south of the ecliptic it could replace Scorpio.
  7. The Sirrush has similarities to the Iguanodon, Bel-Marduk is a mythological hybrid, a scaly dragon with hind legs like an eagle’s talons and feline forelegs. The Sirrush has a scaly body, a prominent horn on its Iguandon head, a forked tongue, the forelegs of a panther, and the hind legs of a giant bird of prey. The scaly skin shows itself on the hind legs downward to the middle of the shins. On the end of the curving tail there is a scorpion’s sting. And this creature appeares in the artwork of the the Ishtar gate in Babylon. Daniel, the protagonist of the Book of Daniel, was confronted with this creature by the priests in the apocryphal text Bel -Marduk the Sirrush is the Celtic God Belinus In the Babylonian Creation Epic, the Enuma Elish, Tiamat bestows the seven Tablets of Destinies upon her consort Kingu to give him the power to defeat Bel-Marduk. After Marduk conquered Kingu in battle he hung the Tablets of Destiny around his neck and was given 50 powers from various gods which gave him the ability to rule The Celtic celebration called Beltane is dedicated to (Bel/ Baal/Marduk (Babylonian) and Merodach Hebrew) as the slayer of the dragon Tiamat). Bel is lord of the world, father of the gods, creator, and lord of the city of Nipur. Later Greeks associated Bel/Marduk with Hercules under the name Melkarth. The name Baal is also connected "Baal-zebub", "lord of the flies", and Satan. "Baal-zephon" later became the god Triton, son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, goddess of the sea. He is usually represented as a merman having the upper body of a human and the tail of a fish, "sea-hued", according to Ovid. It was also on the feast of Beltane that the sacred marriage rite was performed by King Arthur with his half-sister, Morgaine, who, as the sacred 'sister-bride' embodied the Celtic Moon Goddess, Cerridwin. The sacred marriage ritual, which was performed at the festival of Beltane, produced the Celtic Christ, Modred. This was not really incest, but a holy rite .
  8. Mysteries are ancient ‘secrets’ regarding all human evolution. The first masters on Earth were all Dragons and Serpents. They bestowed wisdom and the means of experiencing Gnosis. Their knowledge is the basis of metaphysics. This also means that there is nothing mysterious about the higher realm of spirituality. Metaphysics provides the ultimate answers; there is nothing unscientific about spirituality and its arts. H.P.Blavatsky claimed that the universal “religion of the ancients” was the worship of the Dragon and the Sun. She said, “The tradition of the Dragon and the Sun is echoed in every part of the world, both in its civilized and semi-savage regions. It took rise in the whisperings about secret initiations among the profane, and was established universally through the once universal heliolatrous religion. There was a time when the four parts of the world were covered with the temples sacred to the Sun and the Dragon; but the cult is now preserved mostly in China and the Buddhist countries. … We find (a) the priests assuming the name of the gods they served; (b) the ‘Dragons’ held throughout all antiquity as the symbols of Immortality and Wisdom, of secret Knowledge and of Eternity; and (c) the hierophants of Egypt, of Babylon, and India, styling themselves generally the ‘sons of the Dragon’ and ‘Serpents’.” The drama of human civilization is set against the cosmological backdrop of the Precession of the Equinoxes. Dragons are the archetypes of our priests and royalty. The past is a story of dragon worship. Myths obscure astronomical facts. Animals in myth are stars, and gods are planets. Our evolution is mirrored in the myths of the constellations. Ancient civilizations tracked time and created calendars,
  9. and most importantly predicted the cataclysms during the GREAT CYCLE of PRECESSION of the Zodiac, symbolized by the Ouroboros; the serpentine ring of the Ecliptic, cycle of Eternal Return. The Pole Star is the most important point in the Universe as it was the entrance to the Other Worlds. Megalithic temples were tuned to this 26.000 year Cycle in the heavens. They expressed the laws of the universe in the language of time. Time is framed in universal cosmological myth. The Center of the Universe is not fixed. It moves around in a circle counter the Circle of the Zodiac. Plato called Precession the Great Year, and each of its “months” is a sign of the Zodiac. Myth was the astronomical scientific language of the dragons. Decoding the heavens meant making zodiacs mimicking heaven on earth in the form of sacred sites, and embodying it in dragon royalty. Ancient ley lines are symbolically related to the circumpolar constellation Draco, the great Dragon. The winged serpent was a symbol of the Gods of Egypt, Phoenicia, China, Persia, and Hindustan. The Dracontia, the original masons, built temples that were sacred to the Dragon because it was the symbol of the sun, which, in its turn was the symbol of the highest god, El. Besides the surname of serpents they were called the builders, the architects; for the immense grandeur of their temples and monuments were such, that even the pulverized remains of them stagger the mathematical calculations of our modern engineers. The Dracontia built temples dedicated to the Dragon, emblem of the sun, of life, wisdom, and Precession cycles. Once they covered the globe; all that remains are those monoliths seen at Stonehenge, Carnac, and other places. The Serpent Mounds, such as those in Ohio, symbolize the same thing. Besides being mute historic witnesses of knowledge of the mysteries of the cosmic dragon, these temples were used as means of divination by the priests who understood their secrets.
  10. Draco is a vast constellation extending through seven signs of the zodiac; also as the seven-headed Draco, each of whose heads is a star of Uras Minor; and again as the pole star. Dragons are synonymous with immortality as they are immune to the cycle of time, and because their lineage is preserved in royal bloodlines. Thuban became the “Eye of the Dragon” as it is the major star in Alpha Draconis. The stars were the Watchers - the seers. Egyptian sovereigns wore the Uraeus serpent (Wadjet) as their crown; the symbol of the serpent of life, a connection to the celestial Ouroboros. The celestial pole for that time is located in one of the paws of the wolf, Anubis (Ursa Minor). The ecliptic pole is located in the breast of the female hippopotamus, Tarut (Draco). The word Tarot is primordial. In all of the ancient Egyptian zodiacs Tarut is found at the center of a horizontal parade of figures. Tarut was depicted with her consort Sobek, a crocodile, on her back. The crocodile on the back of Tarut represents the Milky Way and the mouth of the crocodile represents the Dark Rift. Because Thuban was the pole star 5000 years ago the ancient Egyptians keenly observed it. Some of Draco’s stars were part of their constellation of Hippopotamus and some were of the Crocodile. They appear on the planisphere of Denderah and the walls of the Ramesseum at Thebes. The hieroglyph for the Hippopotamus was used for the heavens in general while In the Book of Enoch, Tarut morphs into the Behemoth which ranges from a dinosaur to crocodile to a mythological creature. Thuban is a third magnitude star, north of the constellation of the Great Bear, the pole star around 2170 BC. It shone down the descending passage of the Great Pyramid at its lower meridian transit, but Egyptologists generally believe that the Pyramid is much older than that. In the previous 26,000 year period Alpha Draconis would be in about the same position. After it ceased to be the pole star, it shared the fate of all the fallen gods and goddesses and was treated as an evil demon. Later, a devotee of Tarut was libeled a “tart” just as a worshipper of the Lunar Goddess became a “lunatic,” “monster” or “sinner.” (Sin was one of the earliest names of the moon goddess). The Bible calls Aphrodite the Whore of Babylon or harlot. The word Tarut was later pronounced with a soft “H” as Taruth, which morphed into the word truth. Tarot Thoth and truth are interchangeable: if one is seeking Truth; seek it in the Tarot. Psychologically, the Dragon is the merger of normal human reality with the Transpersonal Self and a
  11. desire for transformation. Some say it is a symbol of DNA or the kundalini energy. The winged dragon represents the primal source of being - Zero Point vortex energy. When you realize a transcendental state you experience the divine paradox of doing everything while not doing anything. As Einstein said,‎” Men invented time to feel comfortable in space. But it doesn’t actually exist. All experience is happening at once.” The dragon is a healing power.. It is said elixir of youth was made from the dragon’s venom. Immortality is achieved when the mind sees that the ego is an illusion.... In legend, the alchemical Philosopher’s Stone is in the guardianship of the reawakened Dragon. Alchemy combines the physical, psychological and spiritual. The winged dragon embodies the archetype and the chaos of psychic images. Remember that the Dragon is the vehicle that takes you to your True Self. It is a sign of the Goddess Tiamat, the true doer of all your actions. Tiamat created the creatures of the zodiac and possessed the Tablets of Destinies. Joseph Farrell speculates they link to the I Ching: ... “The Tablets of Destinies appear to have been ‘activated’ only in physical proximity to their possessors— in other words, they may have been activated by the certain specific sequences in the DNA of their possessors, and given the fact that the I Ching is a system of divination with so many odd parallels to the genetic code itself, the connection seems both logical and inevitable: With the I Ching, we may be looking at, so to speak, the “software” remains of the Tablets of Destinies.” Farrell, Joseph P. (2011-05-03). Genes, Giants, Monsters, and Men: The Surviving Elites of the Cosmic War and Their Hidden Agenda . Feral House. Kindle Edition. Paul La Violette concurs as his aether theory correlates with the Chinese Yin and Yang energies encoded in the I Ching, the Book of Changes. The female Yin energy transforms into the male Yang energy and vice versa in an eternal process of physical changes. The creation of matter from the aether is reflected in most ancient creation myths. From the Hindu creation myth of Vishnu, the Egyptian myth of Atum, the myth of Isis and Osiris, the Greek myth of Zeus and the Babylonian creation myth Enuma Elish. La Violette is even convinced that his physics is embedded metaphorically in the Tarot and the signs of the Zodiac. In ‘Genesis of the Cosmos’, Paul La Violette finally writes: ‘If anything, the discovery of advanced science in ancient myths and lore should give us reason to pause and take a broader view of modern achievements, to realize that we may not be the first scientifically advanced culture to inhabit this planet’.
  12. Another recurring theme in many ancient creation myths is the primeval waters (Nun) that existed before creation. Water is a metaphor for the aether itself. It is from the primeval waters that the creation of the universe originated. Even the book of Genesis speaks of the Spirit of God dwelling over the waters and how He divided the waters from the waters. God spoke ‘let there be light and there was light’! Finding the inner fire or aether, cosmic electricity, chi, prana, qi and the telesma which Thoth Hermes describes in his Emerald Tablet also connected to Tiamat’s tablets. This force comes from the heart of the galactic center. The dragon work is to channel this telesma within your cells until a transformation takes place. “Words are of Time… Symbols are of Eternity. The Hermetic tradition is one of the oldest spiritual traditions in the world, and while no direct evidence links the Book of Thoth to Eastern religions, it shares uncanny similarities in concepts and terminology with Taoism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. In the West, the Hermetic traditions were encoded in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as well as the heretical beliefs of the Gnostics. The Dragon Tarot, like the Secret Doctrine, gives clues to the evolution humanity. Astrology, Cabala, numerology, and the Tarot were sacrosanct to the Mother Goddess. In fact, the very word Tarot derives from the name of Egypt’s most ancient goddess, Tarut. Thoth- Hermes, Mercury, Odin, Adonis, Tammuz, and Atum Ra, inherited her wisdom. The Dragon Tarot is replete with elemental archetypes. Correspondences between the I Ching and Tarot. The I Ching and the Tarot are two great prophetic systems which also convey ancient wisdom symbolically. They also reveal the mysteries of the universe and our evolution. Both systems contain a fixed set of symbols, each expressed with formal signs (lines of hexagrams, symbols and symbolic images (maxims attached to hexagrams and lines, pictures and divination meanings of images). First, these systems have a different number of elements: the Tarot deck contains 78 cards, while the I Ching comprises 64 hexagrams. Second, 64 hexagrams are of equal rank while Tarot cards are divided into 22 Major and 56 Minor Arcana. The number of cards exceeds the number of hexagrams by 14 (78 - 64 = 14). This is an important number for the Tarot since 14 is the number of cards in each suit of the Minor Arcana. Structure of the Tarot The first 22 major arcana are a door to our unconscious that allows us to take a journey to our primary source of being. The images project all the archetypes within the context of our soul’s journey. Thus, when consulted we see our own life reflected on these images. The images show aspects of our personality that want to be recognized and not hidden. They bring us important messages in non-verbal symbolic languages; this is why the Tarot has an immense power to activate our imagination, because the images are inspired in human experience and in the deepest levels of our mind. We begin to do this in life by moving from living on the surface of life to moving into these depths. Ultimately we must also evolve the un-evolved subconscious realms within, which we do by opening our heart to all that exists. The Major Arcana are divided into two groups: 10 (I-X) static principles and 12 (XI-XXII) represent dynamic principles. The Minor Arcana consist of four suits. Each suit, consisting of 14 cards; from ace to ten and 4 court cards: king, queen, prince and princess. For example, four aces are ruled by the Magus, four twos are ruled by the High Priestess four threes are ruled by the Empress, four tens are ruled
  13. by the Heirophant. Originally the suits of the Tarot are represented by the elementals; salamanders -wands, undinescups, sylphs-swords and satyrs-pentacles. There are four basic elements of nature: fire, air, earth, and water. Within each of the four elements are nature spirits that are the spiritual essence of that element. They are made up of etheric substance that is unique and specific to their particular element. They are living entities often resembling humans but in other dimensions. dragons -wands - fire satyrs - pentacles - earth Undines - cups- water sylphs -- swords - air We are all living breathing zodiacs. The True Book of Life has exactly 78 pages and these are the Tarot. The Universe is here to teach us love and forgiveness so we can get off the wheel of karma. Access the Soul through Tarot. In the Ra material, the Tarot is analyzed in terms of archetypes. Any process of development or creation is seen to involve these archetypes the concept is multifaceted and complex. See Book IV of Law of One. David Wilcock posits that there are 22 experiences needed for an entire spiritual awakening and they are known as “archetypes”… and these are written by the Mind of the Universe long before we were created.
  14. Thoth-Hermes created the 22 major Arcana of the Tarot to have a synchronistic resonance or patterns of thought with the cosmic template that sustains the personal holographic matrix. When we contemplate an image of the Major Arcana we have encoded that key with a valuable message that we need to hear now. Close your eyes and tune into that message as the subconscious mind is guided by the higher Self which will guide you to find the right image at the right time. Images are the preferred language of the mind to activate the latent strands of DNA. Constant reference to the imagery of major arcana can restore the higher levels of consciousness of our original blue print from the Universal Mind. David Wilcock believes that our minds maybe hardwired to experience specific archetypes in various lifetimes and until all 22 archetypes are experienced it is not possible to shift into the fourth dimension. Immersing oneself in the imagery of these archetypes will keep the ego from wasting its energy in resisting what the Universal Mind has encoded in our personal bio-computer matrix. In Wilcock’s words,” this provocative model suggests that humanity is on the verge of a near-spontaneous metamorphosis into a more highly evolved state of consciousness. What are the ramifications of this? Imagine activating 100% of our 2 strand DNA, plus 10 additional strands! We will go from using 10% of our brain to becoming a multi-dimensional being with psychic, telepathic, and manifestation abilities beyond anything we’ve ever dreamed of. Ethno- botanist and consciousness guru Terence McKenna agrees, calling the Hermetic teachings “a formula for a holographic matrix” that is mirrored in the human mind which offers us its only hope for future survival. Tarot is invaluable when all psycho therapeutic work has failed to determine the next step to be taken for the souls evolution for the images will identify the karmic challenge and even in the time frame in which it occurred. It is “Zero-Point Medicine,” by which we can renew, sustain and realize our potential. Every Tarot key has an astrological correspondence. After birth, we attract certain energies which explain why we have cycles of positive and negative relationships. And because our own actions constantly create karma we have our ups and downs in life. As long as we remain unaware of these forces we are subject to them. Only we can overcome and transform them. When we transform the positive and negative energies operating within us we can control our own fate. The world is also subject to the same forces from the cosmos. Everything that happens on earth is a direct response to the interaction between cosmic fate and human karma. The Tarot is rooted in the spiritual diversity of ancient civilizations for Divine Consciousness is experienced in infinite forms through the process of evolution. This unity in diversity is the secret to everything in a conscious life. The Tarot is a powerful oracle to commune with the universe and is as relevant as ever for the oracle is where the individual soul communes with the Universal Soul. Whereas logic speaks to the logical left side of our brain, oracles communicate through symbol and image, directly to the intuitive right-side of the brain. We are overwhelmed with media input. We need to attain equanimity by stimulating and using the artistic/symbolic right-side of the brain which will give balance to life. Quiet meditation on each of the keys will awaken within each person, personal insights to support the transformation that must take place within each soul.
  15. The 22 Major Arcana (Secrets) relate to the “universal principles” of life and “archetypal” personality types. Twelve keys represent the signs of the zodiac and ten represent the planets in our solar system. They are multi-dimensional as they portray the (Neters) gods and goddesses from many civilizations representing different states of consciousness. Write the results down in your Journal regularly, by doing so, you enhance your intuition and place yourself in direct communion with Universal Consciousness. The mystery schools reveal the workings of the Cosmic Laws that can reprogram your DNA to integrate your personality with your Soul. Find a quiet time every day, no matter how overwhelmed you are feeling to contemplate in silence. Then state your intention; Intentions enable you to change your karma. One of the easiest ways to activate your DNA and accelerate your Soul consciousness is to make the following Afformation. “Why am I the cosmic energy of the universe? We all live in our own parallel universe. Everyone reading this has a slightly different angle to everyone else. Each angle is unique since we occupy our own space. Brian Greene, one of our foremost physicists and the bestselling author of The Elegant Universe and The Fabric of the Cosmos, asks the most mindboggling question in modern physics and cosmology: Is our universe the only universe? His most recent book, The Hidden Reality, is an amazing voyage through a vast unimaginable ‘Dragon’.
  16. 1.The Magus: mars and mercury T hoth-Hermes is the first Magus who created the ‘Emerald Tablets’ in the Royal Court Of The Dragon of Al-Khem. The Dragon was the essence of the Holy Spirit, which, according to the Book of Genesis, moved upon the waters of time. In Sumeria, it was called the Gra-al - the Sacred Blood of the Dragon Queens. This sacred blood was called “ambrosia.” which supercharged the pineal gland or third eye, with spiritual insight. The Magus can draw upon his inner strength to make a goal a reality for he has at his disposal all the elements and their counterparts: the cup, indicating water and imagination; the sword, indicating air and intellect; the pentacle, earth and the body, and the caduceus/wand, fire and will-power. In his lower aspect Thoth-Hermes mirrors the trickster in us—thus emphasizing that even our best qualities have their shadow side. The Magician represents the powers that you possess to create meaning and purpose in your life. He tells us that this creative power is in and around you and always available. He teaches how things work in the world by understanding the structure underlying its cycles and rhythms. Challenge: Although you are eloquent, charismatic, clever, witty, inventive and persuasive, beware of dominating those around you. Although these qualities are not generally criticized by society they are different personalities that need to be unified under the guidance of your inner guru. Your pioneering spirit is in reality a way to avoid facing these layers of illusion and can prevent you from discovering that you are not these personas. Pay attention to everyday life. Remember all the power you possess comes from a higher level. Focus on what you want and eliminate those things, which distract you. You have abused power and you have an overpowering ego, which makes you selfish, arrogant, and insensitive. Your inflexibility causes you to row against the tide and sets you up for failure and loneliness. Your lack of willpower confuses your life’s purpose. Do not use the forces of nature for selfish purposes. You are blocking your creative energies. Learn by experimentation – try new things.
  17. 2.The high priestess: vulcan -uranus & moon T he High Priestess advises you to take time to listen to your inner voice. She wants you to gain knowledge before you act: instinctual knowledge, supernatural knowledge, secret knowledge, selfknowledge. God is male and female. So in order for us to be a complete theist we have to understand that we have to worship not only God as masculine, but the Goddess, the Divine Mother. The moon rules the High Priestess and the number two is ruled by Uranus. Vulcan, god of blacksmiths, stokes the fire of determination to ensure that ideas are not extinguished. The High Priestess symbolizes the power of the unconscious forces in the world that give form and purpose. She has experienced life so she has empathy for your struggles. This demonstrates that life survives death. By taking on new forms she can lead to deep wisdom, but she can also lead to madness. Number two makes you acutely conscious of others and as you are socially aware of people your stimulation is derived from them. This makes you a diplomat, go-between, mediator or peacemaker. Your best service is through your cooperative nature. This key means that you intuitively understand the answer to a problem although not always consciously. You may well become the power behind the throne. The number two suggests more than one, yet in reality we are all One. Challenge: You should pay a great deal of attention to your health through your eating habits so that you have the energy to be of service to others. Seek new and hidden paths to wisdom. Learn to question the lessons of the unconscious for it does not always lead to wisdom. Question how you have divided your world by judging yourself and others. Your excessive focus on unimportant details and perfectionism can prevent you from listening to your intuition. This will cause passiveness, weakness, and fear of life. You may be expressing your emotions in a negative way. You lack self-confidence and are therefore indecisive and afraid to make decisions. You can be deceitful, two-faced, oversensitive, and easily depressed if your dreams are thwarted by those close to you.
  18. 3.The empress: jupiter & venus T he Empress is pure consciousness itself, the knowledge that returns us to the source of who you are. She is an aspect of the subconscious mind, ruled by Venus, the main astrological symbol for our affections and feelings. Venus works in conjunction with Jupiter to increase productivity, love, abundance, and fertility. The Empress represents the veil of Maya (illusion). She represents the need to control the cosmic forces that are not controllable and often represents smothering mothers. She also represents the blood that carries the energy flowing through all living things. Challenge: Your natural talents — acting, social work, counseling and the law — give you a love of life through the pleasure of relationships, entertainment and new experiences but these talents, if not used properly, can be a diversion from knowing who you really are. Avoid work that confines you as you need to move around to express yourself in order to do your best work enthusiastically. It is important to understand that all emotions stem from the pure essence of love. Thus, fear and hate are its opposite. Pity and sentimentality represent perversions, contortions or negations of the love quotient. Do not express your emotions in a negative way because they reinforce negative behavior patterns. As you want recognition you tend to exaggerate situations so that friendships may well be superficial. You may try to avoid responsibility and live a life of instant gratification.
  19. 4.The emperor: Aries & earth T he Emperor of Crocodopolis, Sobek, was the original Pendragon of warriors and and protected the pharaoh from evil magic. The Egyptian word for crocodile fat was Messeh from which the term Messiah is derived. To be anointed with crocodile oil, was to absorb powerful, unchanging dragon energy and assimilate this into the body. Moshe, or Moses, was a ritual title, and was a reference to the crocodile fat used in temple and pyramid ceremonies. The Emperor rules the external world that exists outside the conscious elements in the material world, the unity and order in your life. His God-like ability enables him to discern the truth in any given situation. It is his wisdom to handle affairs systematically that has placed him on the throne. His strength gives stability to accept external forces out of our control. True intuition is based on number four. This key indicates that you have the ability for leadership and spiritual growth through ideas, experience, higher education, travel, religion and deep philosophical thought. The Emperor governs the need for honesty, fairness and respect for the rights and freedom of others. He is a solid foundation in times of change and uncertainty. Challenge: Control your own sensual desires and overcome the tendency to be rigid and inflexible. Examine all external forces that prohibit the fulfillment of your destiny, discarding all outgrown comforting myths. Don’t risk stagnation and keep a ceiling on desires, which lead to spiritual or material decline. Prepare for unseen difficulties through carelessness, impulsive spending and grandiosity. Have compassion for those who you dislike, stop listening to the head, and listen to the heart. Renunciation leads to joy; attachment brings discontent. Be in the world, but not of it.
  20. 5.The hierophant: mercury & taurus T he Hierophant Moses, like Hermes, meets the great dragon Pymander on Mount Sion who instructs him as to the true nature of the universe. He is not bound by the conventional laws of society. Each soul’s path is unique and you may be guided to traditional religion, prayer, contemplation and meditation. All ways will take you to the source of who you are eventually. Ignore the soul at your peril! The nature of Mercury (Hermes) expresses itself in our mind as light, wisdom, intelligence, and quickness —especially in an intellectual sense. He was the messenger of the gods, and also, like Jesus, the psychopomp or conductor of souls to the netherworld. The origin of the shepherd’s crook in religious symbolism can be traced to the Egyptian Mystery Schools. Mercury rules number five and represents intelligence, movement and communication, the inner teacher and the inner voice. Sages have always said that ‘Self Realization’ comes when you awaken to the awareness of the soul. True inner hearing does not involve spirits, clairvoyance or visions from the astral planes. With the help of Taurus/Mercury, your conscious mind, studies the facts and places them in your subconscious data base which, in a flash of realization, sends the analysis back to the conscious mind. This is true intuition based on reason. Challenge: Assess your spiritual growth and recognize the limitations of fame and glory. Learn to act and not react, and know that you are more than a collection of five senses. Don’t take the meaning of events too literally, be gullible, or over analyze everything before taking action. Look for the deeper meaning to the question. Strive for spiritual truth by working with the practical aspects of life. Be open to meeting a spiritual teacher who guides you towards your Real Self, not the ego driven self. This key is a reminder not to stay too grounded in the material world, as there is a heavy price to pay for deviating from the path of spiritual truth.
  21. 6.The lovers: Gemini & venus T he Lovers is ruled by Gemini. In Tantric Yoga the lovers represent Shiva and Shakti, the male and female principles. The act, when properly practiced, eventually culminates in samadhi, wherein each of the participants dissolve in the unity of cosmic consciousness. Hierogamy between the Dragon Prince and the Swan Maiden resulted in the creation of a unified consciousness. Lovers are a union of opposites but complimentary components. Venus seeks to unite the seemingly opposing forces of Gemini into harmony. Venus, as the ruler of six, creates the urge for peace and love with family and friends. Love is generally understood as romantic, passionate or as the meeting of a new soul-mate. But, at a deeper level, this key represents personal choices to be made in some sphere of life. This choice is not an easy one, since there are usually too many options. The Lovers key role is to relax and access inner wisdom, encouraging surrender to the profound energy of Love, even if it seems impractical. To dance on the royal road with your ‘Beloved,’ is the most powerful energy of all. This key urges you to feel the life-giving energy of Love for all those around you. Pure love is a state of ‘Being.’ All obstacles in life can be overcome through unconditional love, a force, which is an expression of the soul. Universal love has nothing to do with infatuation, attachment or lust. When unconditional love is experienced there is no separation. Love is the totality of ‘Oneness.’ Challenge: It is time to decide between opposing alternatives. Love can be blind! Understand that love is a state of being that animates your total being. Don’t be selfish. Like attracts like. Being selfconsumed leaves nothing to give. Love is not bondage but brings balance and harmony. Our greatest lessons are learned from the negative patterns mirrored in our lover. Discontent and jealousy create the martyr. Solve your relationship challenges by self-enquiry. The key is to discriminate between the true and the false.
  22. 7.The chariot: moon & cancer T he Chariot, Sanskrit – Vahana, Hebrew – Merkhabah, is the vehicle of Light mentioned in the Bible by Ezekiel. “Mer” means Light. “Ka” means Spirit. “Ba” means body. The body is often called the chariot for the inner charioteer, the Soul. Remember that the Dragon is the vehicle that takes you to your True Self. It is not you, but your vehicle. Contemplation on the Chariot guides the divine will of the Soul. The Chariot, ruled by Cancer, provides protection for the spiritual seeker. However, beware; Cancers are the masters of the art of passive resistance. The Chariot represents the power of focused intention and is all about motion, and yet, it is often shown as motionless. On the one hand, the Chariot indicates loyalty and faith and on the other, a motivation to succeed at any cost. The Chariot stands for the desire for freedom, ambition, the search for paradise lost, or the need for recognition. This key shows Horus steering the emotions of the sphinxes, but indicates inexperience (entering an unknown formless world of spirit). On its most basic level the Chariot implies inner struggle, and an eventual victory through rigorous self-examination. Challenge: The Chariot warns us against being too focused on material gain. Keep your intent to gain the self-confidence to leap into the void. You are moving too fast. Pull back the reigns and slow down. Broaden your world view, avoid spinning wheels, and beware of working too hard with little to show for it. Achieve your goal one step at a time. Do not overestimate your own confidence – rather, take time to gain insight, you have much to learn. Do not be melancholic and learn to control your opposing emotions. This key gives new motivation or inspiration to solve a stagnant situation. Avoid burnout. You are too focused on fame and fortune. Remember Phaethon, who took the reigns of the Sun’s chariot against his father’s advice, burnt the world. Take heed of this key or Zeus will send you a bolt of lightening to really burn you out. Success can be obtained without the need for control.
  23. 8. justice; uranus & libra J ustice, symbolized by Anubis who attends the weighing scale in the Afterlife during the “Weighing Of The Heart”. The oldest known mention of Anubis is in the Old Kingdom pyramid texts, where he is associated with the burial of the pharaoh. Anubis is depicted in funerary contexts where he is shown attending to the mummies of the deceased or sitting atop a tomb protecting it. In fact, during embalming, the “head embalmer” wore an Anubis costume. The critical weighing of the heart scene in the Book of the Dead also shows Anubis performing the measurement that determined the worthiness of the deceased to enter the realm of the dead (the underworld, known as Duat. The Aeon of Maat in 2012 heralds a new golden age of self-realization. Ask yourself, “Who Am I?”Libra is the balance amidst constant change. The importance of this key is to stay in the present moment with out judging past mistakes and worrying about the future. Libra and Uranus, emphasized by master number eleven, represent a balanced life when actions are weighed and measured by the Soul. When the life force is misused dis-ease, accidents, legal difficulties and impulsive decisions will occur. Saturn’s exaltation of Libra ensures a sense of justice and integrity. As Libra is ruled by Venus one must communicate through love. Libra rules the organs of detoxification that keeps the body in balance. Challenge. Justice signals that your world is dangerously out of balance and needs adjusting. It is important, however, to be aware that most external problems are an externalized inner conflict. When anger is rarely expressed you explode like a volcano. Don’t escape reality in the oblivion of drugs and alcohol. A constant state of anger occurs when knowledge of Self is denied. Understand that what you dislike in others is a reflection of something that needs to be healed in yourself. Beware of creating negative karma by misuse of power. Selfless service helps you to stay in the eternal Now.
  24. 9.the hermit: sun & virgo T he Virgo symbol M and a Vesica Pisces symbol of a Vulva stems from the Egyptian hieroglyph ‘’Mut’ the Mother from which the cosmos emerged, The vulture goddess Mut was an androgyny, having breasts and an erect phallus symbolized by Scorpio’s erect tail after Virgo and Scorpio are split in two. Hindu astrology is the key to understand ing the true meaning of the M glyph. It is the released energy – sometimes called Kundalini. In Hindu iconography M is portrayed as a three-coiled serpent related to two hieroglyphs in the zodiac: Virgo of the 6th sign and Scorpio the 8th before Libra existed. In Virgo the M ‘tail’ turns back on itself; the sexual energy is not released – hence the Virgin. In Scorpio the ‘tail’ is erect indicating release; Scorpio is the sign relating to sexuality. Virgo’s keen discrimination anchors the goal. Nine is the number of completion of a cycle and the foundation for the next. The Hermit exemplifies Christ consciousness. She is the guide to your inner guru. Physical incarnation is for the sole purpose of aligning Soul with personality. Contemplate what is really important in a life on overload. Mediation can bring order out of chaos by seeing what doesn’t work. This key signifies that it is time to examine what you want rather than what others would like you to have. Hermits are rarely understood for they walk to the beat of a different drummer, preferring solitude to superficiality. Challenge: Time spent quietly gives access to the same truth as the Hermit. Overcome the natural tendency to be shy and reserved. Learn to trust despite deep wounds from the past, overcome fear of vulnerability and avoid secretiveness. Beware of becoming a Peter Pan, the perennial child who avoids responsibility in life. Discriminate between the essential and the trivial. Learn to listen to your inner voice. Don’t be self-absorbed, selfish, indulgent, or, when crossed, react angrily. Your razor sharp mind is a formidable weapon. High standards create nervous tension, which makes friends uneasy in your company. Try to reach out to people with compassion, understanding and wisdom.
  25. 10.wheel of eternity: Jupiter & mars T he serpent is a wave form of energy which the Maya portrayed as the Ecliptic as a 'Double-Headed Serpent'. The constellations on the ecliptic are called the zodiac. Within the limits of this rim, the ancients conceived that the Fixed Stars were in a special way connected with the Milky Way. Which brings us to the Lion, Bull, Cherub and Phoenix standing for Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio, the fixed signs of the Zodiac. These are symbolic of the four elements (four suits of the tarot), four compass points, four seasons, and the four corners of the universe. This key signals a need to understand your inner reality and underscores the cyclical nature of your spiritual growth and development. The Serpent biting its tail or the Ouroboros is a symbol of eternity and continual renewal of life; it also represents the eternal arbiter between the cycles of good and evil. Ten begins a new cycle as it is a repetition of one, which brings a change in fortune. Here we have the Soul’s power of zero working through One. Jupiter expands the Soul’s spiritual principles. If the wheel of fortune does not turn you will be stuck. With Jupiter as its ruling planet, the Wheel of Fortune is all about luck and change. The wheel symbolizes completeness as well as the rise and fall of fortunes and the message that what goes around comes around. Almost every definition of this card indicates abundance, happiness, elevation, or luck; a change that just happens, and brings with it great joy. Challenge: Accept the gift of adversity without struggle for it may be followed by success or failure. Bad fortune comes with overindulgence. Use previous experiences from other lives to spiritually influence others who do not learn from past mistakes. What is done today is because of what occurred yesterday and what was done tomorrow will depend on what occurred today. Analyze past mistakes and learn from them. Today’s challenges are tomorrow’s opportunities. Do nothing and the universal force will do what’s best for the Soul. Go with the flow and grow because resistance causes stagnation. Greater satisfaction with life comes from living in harmony with the cycles and rhythms of the universe.
  26. 11. strength leo & Saturn S trength unlocks the secret wisdom of Leo within. This key is about self -confidence ; to know strength comes from within. Engaging with the energy of Strength is to step out of the comfort zone and dance with illicit feelings. This may feel like disloyalty to the higher self but if we resist them they impede the integration of the soul and the personality. When we learn to say, “I am that” we are a step closer to experiencing our real selves. The important message of the Strength key is not to give up and to have the courage to succeed with unfailing optimism. As long as you feel that you’re in a position of authority and responsibility, you will do all in your power to justify the confidence placed in you. You thrive on adversity and dare to think and act bigger than others would normally dare to. You are a down to earth realist and may be seen as a ‘lion’ of industry, and in the forefront of cutting edge technologies. The Strength key reminds us that we are in sight of our goals, and that spiritual power can help us overcome material desires. Be patient and persevere, and eventually your force of character will shine through. The lighter nature of love will triumph over the evil of our base instincts. Challenge: Watch your anger and keep your integrity. Don’t be over ambitious. Like trying to tame a lion, you might get scratched trying to control a situation that involves someone else or your own lower instincts. Your desire for authority is unfulfilled and you may become lazy or impetuous which may lead to a lack of confidence. Learn to control yourself. Stop questioning your abilities. Your weaknesses are the worst enemy. Avoid being domineering, ruthless and disruptive. Upheaval is a way of life for you. Develop your spiritual nature for if the bottom falls out of your material life you will have self-confidence from knowing your inner self. Acknowl-
  27. 12.the cosmic Tree; jupiter & neptune S amael the Serpent entwined in the Branches of Lilith’s Apple Tree in the Garden of Eden depicts the concept of the Dragon eating the fruits of Lilith. There is a clear link here with Sumeria and Anu’s mother Tiamat, the Dragoness of the deeps, and with Anu’s children Samael and Lilith, the forebears of the dragons. In religion, mythology, and literature, serpents represent a creative life force and are symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. In Greek mythology Ladon coiled around the tree in the garden of the Hesperides protecting the golden apples. Similarly Nidhogg Nagar the dragon of Norse mythology eats from the roots of the Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Neptune represents the deep, dark waters where the negative thoughts geminate to make life a living hell. Jupiter destroys the layers of illusion created by the false reality of the ego that has been obscured by Neptune. There is no compromising with number 12 for its either knowing who you are and being liberated or not learning the lessons and constantly coming back to earth until you do. The soul does what it thinks is right – not what others tell it to do. When the soul directs the personality you are more self-confident. When you know that you can accept the challenges you face you are able to say yes to any test that presents itself. There are powerful forces ruling life but you are not attached to the outcome because you know that the cosmic force from the Galactic Center is the doer. Challenge: The purpose of 12 is to teach you that you have been living a life of delusion and illusion. Break with a past, which is too comfortable and embrace change instead of the status quo. Know that this is the moment when the Soul begins to rule your life. As the higher self is your personal experience of God your inner voice says, “Thy will be done.” You then feel deeply connected to life. It can also mean that you may pass through a difficult trial because you have lost trust in your intuition. Free yourself from social pressures to be something you are not. Open yourself to the mysteries of the universe.
  28. 13.death: earth & scorpio T he Phoenix, a combination of the eagle and the serpent, represents the highest aspect of Scorpio; the sign of life and death. The number 13 is sacred as it indicates that the soul and the personality are in alignment. Of all the zodiacal signs, Scorpio has the power to bring about this transformation. Our bodies are made of earth and contain the everlasting energy of love. When worldly attachments are dropped there is space for real love to flourish. One door is closing to open another. Something is coming to a close. Put the past behind you and have a parting of the ways with what doesn’t work. The reincarnating personality descends from the spiritual realms to be reborn again on earth. Life and death are part of an eternal process, physical life ends in death but the soul never dies. Death is a revitalizing force for it makes way for the new. It offers an opportunity to replace destructive patterns with constructive ways of doing things. This key is saying: Meet new challenges and cut the ties that bind you to the past. New doors open as nothing is locked in space. The body dies; the essence of the soul goes on. This is a period of transition, changing status, and moving from the known to the unknown. Scorpio is also about sex. So even as something is taken from us, something new is created which will step into the void and give us reason to carry on. Challenge: Self-destructive patterns impede spiritual growth. Make the necessary changes in your life and accept the subsequent pain that comes when old patterns are dropped. Play the game of life and love Your Self. Be willing to cut ties with old relationships that still hold negative energy and make life chaotic. Self-confidence occurs with the alignment of the soul and personality. Be ready to accept sweeping change. Accept the inevitable. Cut out what isn’t necessary. Shed old attitudes. Get down to basics and bare essentials. Death key represents stagnation without change or a tendency to inertia. It can also show someone who refuses to adapt to change or accept new things.
  29. 14. alchemy: mercury & sagittarius T he art of Alchemy is the ability to turn something ordinary into something extraordinary. Alchemy is the right mixture, the perfect balance, standing for harmony, beauty and peace. Yet the key can also show that aspects that were previously ignored should be experienced to enrich you with new perspectives. The many breasted moon goddess Diana represents fertility. Sagittarius, the centaur, is both animal and human and symbolizes the ability to integrate disparate elements into a productive whole. Alchemy says “I am a balanced spiritual being in a physical world following a divine plan. Alchemy accepts everything as it is with out judgment; yet knowing that all things are possible. Number 14 is two times the 7, adjustment of destiny . The profound change from the 14 vibration produces great wisdom to select the right path. The number 14 assists in knowing what is real through self-enquiry. Self-knowledge balances strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes as well as how to function in different situations. You may be called upon to advise others. Challenge: Analyze all the possibilities and proceed with caution. Why live life on the edge if you don’t have to? There is a lack of control in your life. Temper your passions and desires or your health may suffer. If you are a workaholic it will create tension in your personal life. When you get angry with yourself and others, temper your anger with forgiveness and make your heart pure. A nervous, impulsive nature creates problems. A fragmented life prevents accomplishment. Meditate on what is out of balance. Physical appetites may harm you; envy, jealousy, and divorce are common problems for a negative 14. Seemingly irreconcilable opposites may not be irreconcilable at all. Try to put thesis and anti-thesis together for a useful synthesis. It will take time, care, patience, experimentation and temperance. The questioner is surrounded by discord and disharmony. Get in touch with your spiritual nature. There is enough to go around, and you have enough time to fulfill your goals. Wish for the success of others and you’ll begin to see positive change for yourself.
  30. 15.the devil: venus & capricorn T he devil is portrayed by Lilith ( Serpent) who is also the Tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden. The Mayans said all mankind was made of ’menstrual blood’ in the beginning. The same idea prevailed in ancient Mesopotamia, where the Goddess Lilith made her offspring out of clay and infused them with her “blood of life.” She taught her priestess’ to form clay dolls and smear them with menstrual blood. The Serpent in the Garden of Eden is one of the most powerful archetypes of initiation. The duality of Venus finds fertile ground in 15, which knows everything is illusion. This means that you can escape being trapped in an uncontrollable ego. Through Capricorn, the apex of the zodiac, spirituality is an inspiration for others on the same path. 15 – is virtue or vice; there is no middle ground. The Devil may appear to be the adversary but sometimes he is our best and only ally to promote the alignment of the soul and personality. Since the ego covertly sabotages spiritual practice while tricking you into believing that it is cooperating with the Soul. The devil’s purpose is to force you to make right decisions. The inner battle goes on as you are constantly caught in the middle of what is right and wrong. Challenge: Humor enables laughter at grandiosity. Liberate yourself from the conventional concept of the devil. Delve beneath the surface and believe in more than what is obvious to the senses. Realize that you create the limitations in your life. A narrow materialistic view of life impedes judgment. Life is stagnant when the truth is ignored by burying your head in the sand. Manipulating others for personal gain keeps you in a state of fear. Learn from the darker side of your personality. Take a look at the addictions that lurk in the subconscious. Loosen the chains and slip out of the power of your ego. The Devil’s torch can light the way out. Material wealth leaves you when you die while spiritual wealth is eternal.
  31. 16.the tower; moon & mars T he keyword for The Tower is awakening. This comes as a clear flash of understanding, a bolt from the blue bringing awareness of the true nature of self. A flash of lightening is another symbol of the electrical serpent force, or the kundalini. Astrologically, the Tower and the number 16 is ruled by the Moon and Mars. The Dove and olive branch represent peace, while the Serpent and arrows represents war. Mars is the driving force within any given mechanism, including the human body. It also rules the head, through Aries. After the kundalini or Mars force within the body is driven up the spine, to the head, final illumination must take place. The Tower, a portal to the Soul, contains ceremonial initiation chambers. Mars gives awareness to the Soul’s thoughts. Basic desires (one, Mars) must be refined by (six, Venus) before they become reality in the subconscious mind (seven, Moon). Once the subconscious mind receives a thought it becomes a reality; it is only a question of time before the thought is acted out in the world. The bolt of lightening destroys the clouds of illusion that hide the inner reality of the Soul so the thoughts can be brought to the surface for analysis and release in a conscious way. Challenge: You are going to have a psychological and spiritual upheaval, which results in a transcendental state of consciousness. Do not succumb to thoughts of failure and catastrophe. You are angry and frustrated because you are burnt out by emotional distress. Lack of faith causes pessimism and clouds your view of the world. Break free from emotional bondage and get used to doing things in a new way. Prepare for the rocky road ahead. A new approach to thinking about the problem is needed, think outside the box. Truth may not be what your ego wants to hear. It may be time to re-examine your belief structures, ideologies, and paradigms. Seek higher self-knowledge.
  32. 17.the pole star; saturn & aquarius T he Pole Star, is the center of the Universe. Therefore, the Pole Star, the Hole in the Center, was the entrance to the Other Worlds. Thuban is the Alpha star of Draco (the Dragon) Around 2170 BC it shone down the descending passage of the Great Pyramid as it had donewhen it was built less than 26,000 years earlier. After it ceased to be the pole star, it shared the fate of all the fallen gods and was treated as an evil demon. When Draco was the circumpolar constellation, it gave birth to the myths that brought catastrophe from the Deluge of the Dragon Comet Tiamat to our ancestors but led to the rebirth of the Dragon Bloodline and modern civilization. The word “Dragon” is interchangeable in most myths with “The Serpent” which represents “Wisdom” and “Self-Determination On a spiritual level, The Milky Way is our connection to the cosmos as the electrical body is able to absorb even higher vibrations of truth. 17 – incorporates the seven of receptivity (the Moon) and the one of concentration (Mars). Together they equal eight (Saturn), which corresponds with the rising spiritual force at the base of the spine and makes meditation easier. The light of the Galactic Sun activates the desire for a spiritual practice. Key 17 signals that goals and aspirations are only realized by taking positive action and promises an eventual peace of mind. Challenge: If you have been holding back in any way, now is the time to give generously. Listen to the waves of information coming to you from the stars and be open to all possibilities. Meditate frequently and get in touch with your inner visions. Do not let difficult moments overwhelm you, as there is light at the end of the tunnel.
  33. 18.the moon: sun & pisces T he moon is symbolized by Letona the Hyperborean wolfdragon- goddess of the Roman Capitoline and mother of the moon goddess Artemis. The Historia Augusta mentions that the wolf- dragon became the Roman imperial flag. Valhalla in Norse mythology, was the “hall of the Valks”, and Valkeries, Odins male and female wolf warriors who chose the heroes to fill Valhalla. In the Prose Edda Odin is referred to as “raven-god”. In Celtic mythology, Morrighan the warrior goddess often appears in the form of a raven, The name of the Welsh god Bran the Blessed translates to “raven.” According to the Mabinogion, Bran’s head was buried in the White Hill of London as the ravens in the Tower protect Britain from invasion. Robert Graves equates Bran and Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine. Like Bran, Asclepius is associated with the raven - a scavenging bird with the gift of prophesy. The symbolism in key 18 shows that the subconscious mind can be changed through the tests of Saturn. When Saturn is energized by Mars it results in Self Realization. The Sun, representing true Consciousness, finds its own true identity in key 18. There are two centers: The Soul, which is immortal and the Personality, which is mortal when it is unaware of the Soul. Realization is attainable in 18 because the light of the Moon shines through the clouds of illusion to align the soul with the personality. Challenge: Do not fear strange emotions, dreams, or even hallucinations for they enrich life. It is vital to take care of the body’s health. Think positively and take fresh air, exercise, rest, and sunlight. Do not deny your power to heal. If you become a healer your presence alone is a powerful force to relieve suffering. Embrace disturbed emotions that cause irritability and heal them. This is not the moment to leave your comfort zone.
  34. 19.the sun: mars & the sun A ccording to one Maya myth, it was a supernatural Jaguar Sun who rose each day in the east and prowled until finally plunging into the darkness of the west. Then Jaguar Sun fights the Lords of Xibalba (the Underworld) all night. Through his strength and cunning, Jaguar Sun wins the right to rise each day in the East. Thus Jaguar Sun dominates both day and night. The sun’s movements through the zodiac were considered the mirror of our life in spirit. To follow the yearly journey of the sun through the zodiac was to epitomize graphically the whole history of human experience. The power of the Sun is a living power identical with your spiritual power. The driving force of Mars must be controlled and raised to a higher level through the awareness of the true life-giving power of the Sun. All our energy comes from the Sun, and we in turn must radiate the energy we receive from it. The Sun rules the intellect and highlights hidden desires that cloud the awareness of Divinity. Fame and glory should not be a top priority, as you prefer anonymity. When two people are drawn together, there is the potential to mirror each other’s issues so that they learn from each other. When you don’t like an aspect of a person in your current orbit see what can be healed in yourself. Now is not the time to be isolated, it is time for a partnership to discover the real self. Challenge: Excessive emotions cause a loss of control when strong physical attractions occur. It is important to keep control of your libido while allowing real love to manifest. The energy of two can almost be exclusionary. Make sure you are not getting lost in a relationship.
  58. 43. three of Cups : scorpio & mercury in cancer T he Three of Cups, with lotuses symbolize the dance of love. The Three of Cups expresses an outpouring of positive feelings. The influence of Pluto, one of the secondary planets governing this Decan, adds more willpower to realize the rewards of a personal goal. Pluto also provides a secretive and psychic personality. A love of mystery is seductive if you don’t become manipulative and possessive. The Three of Cups supports positive interaction in any group that attracts you, and is a signal to examine emotional attachments so you can reach out to give or receive help. Challenge: Curb impulsiveness fostered by Mercury. It is very difficult to be rational and operate independently of emotional feelings. The main lesson is to separate thoughts from emotions. Be careful that pleasures do not become addictions. Excesses lead to ill health. If you select your partners indiscriminately there will be a heavy price to pay emotionally. With balance valuable work is accomplished.
  59. 44. four of Cups: moon in cancer T he Third Decan of Cancer originally symbolized by the turtle falls under the influence of both Neptune and the Moon. In astrology, Neptune is considered a planet of inspiration, dreams, psychic receptivity, illusion, and confusion. Neptune rules spirituality, and all things subtle. Work a little harder to utilize your talent. Jupiter (the other secondary planet governing this Decan) provides strength of character to stir you into action if the vacillating lunar influence is overcome. Mystical feelings create sensitivity to those around you when the Moon is in the third Decan of Cancer. The Four of Cups represents contemplation and renewal. By taking the time to meditate and self reflect emotional balance is restored. Under the master number 44 vibration, selfless service is the way to help yourself and others. The lotus explains that an element of excess has entered into love. Challenge: Your ideals are high, but you need to keep your dreams practical. You must accept the world as it is, and people as they are, complete with flaws. If you are a mother you have the tendency to smother children, which should be avoided for it stifles the growth and limits the self-expression of those you love. You may be self-absorbed, and tend to be wrapped up in your own world. When life is too stressful devote time and energy to yourself or you will feel swamped. You are far too concerned with trivialities to accomplish great things. Accept things as they are and release the need to control. The Four of Cups is sometimes a sign of “Divine Discontent.” The Four of Cups indicates that you are stuck emotionally because you don’t think with the heart.
  60. 45. five of Cups: mars in scorpio A pollo’s pursuit of Daphne illustrates loss and disappointment. The myth of the attempted rape of Daphne has been quoted by Freudian psychologists as a girl’s instinctive horror of the loss of her virginity. In the first Decan in Scorpio, Mars’ energy afflicts the sexual chakra so avoid sexual excesses. Mars in Scorpio means that it’s time to release old sexual attachments. The lessons of Mars in Scorpio are difficult to learn but the moment arises when enough is enough. Eventually, inner conflicts are resolved so that the game of life is played with equanimity. Mars excites the longing for liberation but there is no cause for anxiety as future success is assured. As the ego is mastered the personality melds with divine energy. Mars challenges physical appetites, which a spiritual practice dampens. This is a highly sensitive vibration. You will not be content with material success alone. The positive energies of this vibration lead to spiritual development. Use this key to reduce its impact on your emotions. Challenge: The more you struggle with attachments the more you suffer. Although the sexual urge has dominated until now a new healthy relationship will begin. Do not waste time regretting past mistakes, learn from them and move on with your life. Don’t feel discouraged by this key for it does have a positive side. Every loss opens new possibilities for growth because every loss initiates change. Loss hurts because it represents emotional resistance to change.
  61. 46. six of Cups: venus in scorpio A brasax is a Gnostic solar deity associated with Yahweh, Mithras and the Celtic Belenus, as well as Yeshu.. Abrasax is a Chimera-like basilisk with the head of a cock (Phœbus) symbol of foresight, or of a lion (Ra or Mithras). This area of the zodiac is at a peak of the solar year. Metaphysically, second Decan Scorpio, in the form of the basilik, flies to unimaginable heights of wisdom, love and creative power. The basilisk is a very ancient solar symbol for the Greeks and Persians; it was sacred to the Sun. Venus guarantees that the divine Self will integrate with the ego. The Six of Cups represents forgiving the past. A spiritual practice is necessary for the soul to become aware of its divinity. There seems to be too much violence, and anger in the world, yet there are many barely noticed gestures. A mother feeds her child. A friend lends the car for the weekend. A nurse fills in for a sick colleague. Challenge: Focus on the welfare of humanity. Rise above the ego on the wings of an eagle (the higher aspect of Scorpio), and live the myth of the Phoenix rising purified from its own ashes. Few Scorpios are successful at this task, especially in the Age of Pisces where chaos and destruction appeared to be rampant. But in the new Age of Aquarius, it will be largely the Scorpio influence (whether Sun-sign Scorpios or not) that will succeed. Change old behavior patterns that prevent a pleasurable life. Enjoy what life has to offer and express your gratitude. Be open to be with a partner so that you can share the joys of love on all levels.
  62. 47. seven of Cups: pluto in scorpio T hird Decan in Scorpio signifies a life out of control. On the other hand everything may be too controlled. Perhaps things need to fall apart a little. Less rigidity can release creativity. No one is happy and productive in a crazy environment. Regularity gives structure to life. The Seven of Cups can lead to decadence, addiction and self-indulgence. The seven cups symbolize the seven sins: vanity, fame, ego, illusion, jealousy, frivolity and glamour. They are symbolized floating in space. Attachment to these worldly desires leads to disillusionment for they have no real value in life. Under Pluto you are drawn to the spiritual aspects inherent in all Scorpio Decans, which is especially strong when ruled by the Moon, Neptune, and Pluto. Scorpio is detrimental to Venus and it is very difficult for love to be pure as it tends to be clouded by the sexual urge, which can and does lead to sorrow through loss of the one you love. The essential lesson here is to realize love can be complete without having to carry out every sexual fantasy. If you don’t take control of your addictions, whatever they are, you will not realize your dreams. Challenge: The Seven of Cups provides the balance to improve life. This key stands for all that is impractical. It is important to look carefully at how disordered the situation is. Is everything too controlled? – Let things fall apart a little. When rigidity is lost there can be a tremendous release of creativity. On the other hand, if you are in a chaotic situation, some tightening may be necessary. No one is happy and productive in a crazy environment. Regularity gives structure to life. Taken to an extreme, the looseness of the Seven of Cups can lead to harmful patterns of decadence, addiction and self-indulgence. Make sure that you are backing up your plans with work and effort. Tighten up your life and commit yourself to doing what it takes to reach your goals.
  63. 48. eight of Cups: saturn in pisces T The two fishes depicted in Pisces evolved in the Devonian geologic period which is known as the Age of Fishes, about 400 million years ago when the Tiktaalik, the first fish, evolved feet from fish fins and started to walk on land. The first decan of Pisces is ruled by Saturn. Pisces is a feminine, watery, mutable sign. The first decan exhibits the most cardinal qualities of the three periods of the sign—qualities of beginning, activation and generation. Saturn is the planet of authority, boundaries and limitations. The contradictions are clear: the activating and generating third of the sign is ruled by the planet of endings; the empathic Pisces, not able to tell where one thing ends and another begins, starts off its process under the authority of the boundary maker. Moving on can mean releasing old patterns, especially those that have dominated thoughts and emotions. One of the eight cups is upright and symbolizes the rejection of old feelings and the search for something meaningful. Moving on can mean searching for a deeper truth or reality. You are living a dream that no longer satisfies. Some changes are exhausting as endings are not always easy. The seven reversed cups represent the feeling that something is wrong, and it’s time for a new direction. Challenge: Put spiritual growth over emotional needs. Release the ties that bind you to negative relationships. Overcome the desires of the ego as well as the tendency to scatter forces. Cultivate the unconscious memory of rules, laws, and theories. Develop your powers of visualization so that you will instinctively do the right thing. Cultivate your creative urges through writing or music. Right thought, right action and right speech will keep you on track
  64. 49. nine of Cups: jupiter in pisces T he Eight of Cups stands for the Eternal Now. You’ve been sold a false reality and what you thought was true was never true. In the second decan of Pisces Jupiter gives the opportunity to develop true wisdom, compassion, and sympathy. Devotion, yearning, imagination, intuition and meditation will produce genuine mystical enlightenment and expand the life experience. Now is the time to examine a sensitive temperament through self-enquiry. Nothing is permanent in life. Sooner or later, everything changes whether we like it or not. Pisces, the twelfth sign, is entered in the reverse direction from left to right via Jupiter in the first Decan. The mind is responsive to intuition and your vibration positively affects others. You are enjoying relationships because you are not hypersensitive to criticism. You are over attached to material things and may have to learn to be flexible with others with the same problem. Equanimity and Self-confidence comes by following your intuition. This is the key to fulfilled dreams. The Nine of Cups satisfies the senses and indicates contentment with the way things are in your world. For to those who are given much—much is expected. Challenge: Overcome your suffocating sensitivity. The main lesson is to moderate your emotional responses to your hypersensitivity. You may be tempted to indulge yourself at the cost of someone else. Weigh the consequences of the pursuit of pleasure. If you make a wish be sure you know what you really want and accept the responsibilities. If your wish becomes real be grateful!
  65. 50. ten of Cups: mars in pisces T he Ten Cups are arranged on the tree of life and signal the end of conflicts. If there are conflicts in your relationships you see what you don’t like in others as an aspect of yourself that needs to heal. Eve has tasted the celestial fruit of the tree, which symbolizes the awakening of the immortal divine Self. The cups are symmetrically placed with a lotus pouring its energy into both spiritual and material planes. The feelings represented here are an ideal that is within reach. Those in the third Decan, Mars in Pisces, are psychic and intuitive. This is the final cycle of the solar year and contains strong vibrations of experiencing God. Love is the key to life and wisdom is the guide. Your spiritual fire blazes from your heart into others. Spread truth with humor. Use intuition in a practical way to make wise decisions. Do not be influenced by dominant influences. Open the psychic eye and listen to your heart before you making decisions. Peace is another aspect of the Ten of Cups – it’s the serenity when everything is in harmony. Peace comes when you know at the deepest level that you are one with all that is. There is inner peace and outer peace, which are reflections of each other. If there is trouble in relationships right now, work to restore harmony and togetherness. Challenge: The mind is clouded with the ego’s attachments and desires. You exhaust yourself in relationships with emotionally polarized people. Spend energy in practical ways in the service of others and be grateful for life’s small pleasures. This advice gives contentment. Everything comes to you when the time is right. Relax, close your eyes and breathe deeply. Visualize a state of complete fulfillment when life gives all you need to be happy.

All nature, including man, owed its existence to him; the destiny of kingdoms and subjects was in his hands. In a temple dedicated to Bel -Marduk, (Nebuchadnezzar’s god), priests had a great dragon which they worshiped, and continued to do so in Rome as Jupiter. Your outward appearance of love and kindness conceals a tendency to be narrow-minded. Jealousy creates the opposite of what you desire. Friends will leave if your critical nature is not controlled. Think and feel as the Queen does. For example: Are you being completely honest? Do you see the humor in the situation? Are you getting right to the point? Have you figured out what’s really going on? 71. 56. two of Swords: moon in libra T his is a master number cycle – much is given and much is expected. Mercury in the first Decan of Libra creates polarization and creates constant crisis caused by excess. Libra men can be reckless gamblers and Libra women can be extravagant, jealous and careless about money. Both sexes talk too much about scandal for they don’t realize that gossip will come back to haunt them. Mercury accounts for the out of control emotions of the Libra in this Decan. Express yourself in subtle ways to create feelings of intimacy. Fear of loneliness creates exactly what you fear the most. You love to initiate projects but can get bored when the first excitement wears off. You like variety in relationships and are unlikely to stay long so you get the reputation of a heartbreaker. You need to learn perseverance. Challenge: There is a stalemate and you must stay open if you are to find peace. Don’t avoid looking at the truth and pretend that everything’s all right. You think one way, but feel another. Dividing off parts of yourself creates a division even when you know they need balancing. Perseverance, integrity, and drive are important now. The need to be perfect in everyone’s eyes makes it difficult to sever negative relationships. Although you may not acknowledge it you really want to please others. You appear aloof but at heart you are over-sensitive because of your ego. The Three of Swords is a valuable warning. It is likely there is something amiss in life that you are unwilling to acknowledge. Take a real look at and listen to the inner voice to locate the problem. Work on your sense of humor and try to be detached from the frailties of human nature. You’ve made plenty of mistakes; trust in the goodness of life and try to live up to that ideal. Your happiness depends on integrity. Challenge: The Three of Swords often represents unexpected betrayal, abandonment, rejection, separation, and reversal of fortune. There is no love and forgiveness because you do not meet commitments. Fluctuating moods create confusion in deciding what to do. You reject help because you fear being hurt. Remember that we’re all capable of cruelty. We’re all human, and we all make mistakes, sometimes, serious ones. Don’t take anything for granted. Listen to your inner voice; it will help you locate the problem.
  73. 58. four of Swords : jupiter in libra I n third Decan of Libra, Jupiter governs the need for companionship and a wide range of social interaction. You react aggressively when anyone challenges your truth for your truth is the only truth. Third Decan Jupiter in Libra renews your faith in life through positive relationships. Because the intellectual side of Libra is strong in this Decan you share ideals with a partner who is stimulated by your depth of perception. A positive relationship mirrors the issues that you need to face and heal. The Four of Swords is often a sign to slow down and examine the experiences that have bought you to this point. Use this time wisely and you will find yourself in a better place. Subconscious decisions affect your future actions. Conflicts are over, now is the time to be quiet and gather your strength. The four swords symbolize challenges, but the number four suggests feelings of tranquility. Sometimes the Four of Swords implies a shift from the external to the internal. Silence makes it easier to go within. For those who are addicted to activity, rest and quiet can seem boring, but that is certainly not the case. Quietening the mind holds its own rewards, but it might take a little time before they are recognized. Challenge: Meditation, and doing nothing is the ultimate challenge. Doing rather than being can be a habit that is very difficult to break. If you are recovering from an illness, allow yourself quiet time to heal. Even if you feel completely healthy, you are risking getting sick again if you don’t take a break. Don’t disappoint friends with too many promises, as they will turn on you because you did not deliver what you promised. Delays and problems are always for karmic purposes. Among your faults is an impatience of criticism and an excessive need for approval. Sometimes resting and doing nothing is the ultimate challenge. There is always so much to do, and modern society beguiles us with its attractions and distractions.
  74. 59. five of Swords: saturn in aquarius A quarius is the based on the mythology of the Ancient Egyptians and their concept of a primordial womb called Nun or the Milky Way from which kundalini power emanates. In this quadrant of the cosmos the serpent symbolism of Aquarius represents the primordial energy flowing from Nun’s womb. In its highest aspect Saturn in the Decan of Aquarius is the desire to do the right thing without being attached to the results. As you free yourself from limitations a whole new world opens up. You will move forward rapidly if you pay less attention to your personal comforts and ambitions. If you are in an abusive relationship only changes in you will cut the ties that bind you to unhealthy relationships. The Five of Swords is about self-interest. Do I have enough to eat? Am I happy? Do I have all I want? The mind is relentless in its desires. Gradually expand your concerns to those you love, but why stop there? You’ve always been connected to everyone but you have forgotten it. In truth your real Self is the universe. What you do to that universe you do to yourself. This understanding is so basic, but infuriatingly easy to remember. You create your limited thoughts, beliefs and concepts or any good or bad in the world. This will not change until you realize that the ‘Real Self ’ sees no good or bad. Challenge: You are defining your interests too narrowly. You can only love someone if you truly love and respect yourself. Relationships are suffering in this lifetime because you were unable to return the affections in a previous life. Stubborn emotional attitudes refuse to accept other people’s point of view. Isolation causes you to miss the opportunities of a partner who will mirror the issues you need to face to be liberated from them. Change your patterns now, as they will come back one way or the other to haunt you later. It is your turn, step forward and claim your dues. Just be aware that if you hurt others in the process your victory will be hollow.
  75. 60. six of Swords: mercury in aquarius W hen Mercury is in the second Decan of Aquarius there is light at the end of the tunnel. You have paid your dues and are ready to reap the rewards. Challenge: Accept your fears and let them go. Allow yourself to feel the pain for this is the only way for fears to be released. Your balance is disturbed. You hide your feelings and family background. You are going to experience a difficult journey into the unknowable future. A fine mind and creative talents can be wasted in selfish endeavors. Don’t get bogged down in details. You are in a dull, listless state. Nothing is seriously wrong, but nothing is really right. You’re getting by, but not thriving. Avoid making hasty decisions and avoid thoughtlessness. Learn to share your secret plans, don’t be ashamed of your hidden past. Don’t be fearful of failure. .
  76. 61. seven of Swords: venus in aquarius I n the third Decan of Aquarius Venus confers many gifts on the highly evolved Aquarian. Transmit the spiritual energy that Aquarius under Venus expresses. Your convictions, great insight, and a strong will ensure success, as there is no doubt about your life’s purpose. Venus, in the element of water, helps you to feel unconditional love. When the self-centered ego merges with the soul you can live a life of equanimity without desires and judgment. The Seven of Swords is about self-examination, which works for you as you like to be alone. Spiritual masters tell you to love and serve others, yet your ego resists because it loves to criticize everything. If you view yourself as your mind body complex you are unaware of the true divine self. As you grow spiritually you are frustrated that the ego is still alive and well. In truth, the soul is the essence of the Galactic Center in human form. Why would you limit yourself to think that you are just flesh and bones? Challenge: Your false persona is caught up in wants and needs, power, money and sex. You are capable of loyalty and commitment but may be too proud to ask for support yourself. Sympathize with the needs of humanity and realize that you don’t need to control those you love because true love does not need to control. Learn from wrong choices some of these are minor, some serious. Your inner voice will tell you when this is happening. Unexpected change and the unusual cause a feeling of isolation. Resist creating schemes that take you nowhere. Your relationships are hampered because you are afraid of personal commitment. You may sacrifice your integrity under group pressure. Learn to accept the emotional support of the group in business and pleasure; you might be making things worse for yourself and others by running away. You cannot be happy and productive for long without some commitment to others. If you feel inclined to act alone, be sure this isolation is really working for you. Perhaps you are running from something – commitment, responsibility, hard work, and love. You may be procrastinating, letting problems slip, because you don’t want to deal with them. Sometimes you just have to face what has to be faced. .
  77. 62. eight of Swords: jupiter & venus in gemini J upiter rules the first Decan in Gemini. The sign of Gemini indicates duality. Jupiter’s influence provides the ability to forestall failure. This situation feels that you have a lack of freedom and choice. Such situations are tricky because the more you get into them, the more restricted you feel. As the options narrow you feel completely trapped. When you see this key remember that you do have choices. No matter how trapped you feel there is a way out. You may not think the options are doable, and you may not even know they exist, but they are there available for use. Challenge: You are overly attracted to trivia. You’re too fast for your own good and you try to do three or four things at once. Anger, aggression, haste and excessive force will only make your situation worse so let them go. A new vision enables a way out of every problem that you encounter. You are attracted to people others find interesting but not for long. Too much living in the intellect diminishes feelings and emotions. You feel restricted by circumstances: an impossible situation, a dead end job, a troubled relationship, and mountains of debt. How did this happen? You have no idea. Even little problems can make you feel trapped. There just doesn’t seem to be a way out. Yet there is if you let things rest and develop for a while. As long as there is indecision don’t start anything new. Jupiter is the harbinger of unseen and unexpected change for the better. The problem that seems unsolvable will solve it in its own way. .
  78. 63. nine of Swords: mars in gemini T he Nine of Swords represents the pain when you torture yourself with fears, guilt, and doubts. When you have done something wrong or failed to do something you promised to do your distress seems palpable. It is even worse when nothing you do relieves the pain. The Nine of Swords doesn’t always indicate major distress it is just a sign of vulnerability in your life. The Nine of Swords may not be on your wish list, but it doesn’t always indicate major problems. Often it is just represents some element of trouble or a vulnerable moment in your life. This key is often a warning from your inner guru that the chosen path may be a difficult one. If you approach the Nine of Swords as a cautionary sign you will be able to use it constructively. Examine the situation carefully to be sure you are making the best choices. Even a small change can make all the difference. Challenge: Learn mental control. Avoid verbal abuse. Don’t torture yourself when fears and doubts overwhelm you. Worry is probably the most common problem. Have I done enough? Will everything work out? What am I going to do? The thoughts go round and round – impossible to turn off. Guilt is another source of pain so don’t feel guilty. Don’t obsess over what you think you should have done. Spend time at the end of the day to remind yourself of the good things you have accomplished. Are you ready to forgive your parents, others and yourself? Observe how you put yourself down mercilessly. You will have recognized this pattern before you will be able to overcome it. Accept yourself as you are and love yourself the way you are. .
  79. 64. ten of Swords: sun in gemini T he Ten of Swords tells you when all seems to be lost you are really telling yourself that there is light at the end of the tunnel. When one disaster follows another you feel depressed at first but eventually you see it as a cosmic joke to learn about yourself. This key can also show when you’re in victim mode and think the whole world is out to make your life difficult. Being a martyr in this sense is not the same as making a sacrifice for another with no strings attached. The influence of Uranus, one of the secondary planets governing this Decan, creates sociability. Cut through the mythology of spiritual beliefs. You are optimistic, sometimes naively, that the better side of humankind will ultimately prevail. Saturn’s rule of Gemini provides a right kind of spiritual direction and keeps you from trivial pursuits. The Saturn controlled mind believes that winning an argument proves something. Your associates do not appreciate your lifeless presentations, even though they agree with the conclusions. The mind under Saturn is cold, rigid, formalized and troubled. Both Saturn and Gemini are incapable of giving or sharing themselves in a relationship. You lack an understanding of unconditional love, and the passion of love experienced as lust is unsatisfying. Challenge: The mind is out of control. You appear to be incapable of true comprehension of profound spiritual truth. Recognize the negative energy that lies hidden behind your fear. If you want to, you can release it by recognizing it. If you master your negative tendencies you will be able to realize high objectives. Doing a good turn for someone else is more satisfying without strings attached. When you’re in the victim mode you’re certain that the whole world is out to make your life difficult and then you think everything is horrible, hopeless and impossibly unfair. Learn to laugh, as laughter is the great healer. Know you’ve reached the point where things will definitely begin to look up. Invite the positive into your life wholeheartedly. .

Capricorn, the goat,...is Baphomet and the Goat of Mendes, the symbol of the Templars. ‘The Cult of the Dog, the Cult of the Dragon, and the Cult of the Goat’...correspond to the Alpha Draconis (the Dragon), Sirius (the Dog-Star), and Capricorn, (the Goat), which is based on Enki, the Sumerian god who the Church turned into Satan, The first Decan in Capricorn is ruled by Saturn and is in the mid-heaven of the zodiac. Under the auspices of Saturn the purpose of the Soul is known. Attraction to material objects is superseded by experiencing what is reality itself, not the ordinary reality of cause and effect. When you merge your ego with your soul you will have a deeper understanding of the meaning of unconditional love, and selfless devotion. The King encourages generosity because by giving more, you receive more. He lends his support whenever it is needed and adds an element of stability to any situation. When he has set a goal for himself, he pursues it with firm resolve until he’s successful. On the royal road to life some move ahead of you. Some move along with you. Any spiritual aspirant may turn for help, knowing that your advice will help him to the next step. Making another person aware of how they are holding on to old patterns must be done with detachment, clarity, and unconditional love. Don’t criticize other’s efforts on the spiritual road. Your spiritual maturity is a sign that you are not impatient with those who are not getting the message. Challenge: Do not live any longer in the past, and use this life in creative service along the line of your chosen life’s work. Discover and master the direction of your service work alone. Demonstrate to God “Thy Will Be Done,” as it always brings joy and enthusiasm. A spiritual practice is unattached to the outcome of its actions. Consciously improve your technique for developing relationships. Express love without expecting anything in return. Use spiritual powers to conquer gratification through the senses. .
  81. 66. queen of pentacles: venus in capricorn T he Princess of Pentacles is symbolized by the white vulture goddess Mut from which the cosmos emerged.Mut was the divine mother, the queen of all gods. During the New Kingdom, The marriage of Mut and Amun was one of the great annual celebrations. Amun would be brought from his temple at Karnak, a great following would escort him to visit Mut at her temple at Luxor. This key represents the wonders of life when you allow hidden forces to work by balancing your decisions with your heart. You are totally secure as you have all the material possessions that you’ll ever need. Now is the time to focus on your spirituality. It is time to make full use of the skills and knowledge you have acquired on your spiritual path through many lives. The wisdom transmuted under Venus must be made available as it teaches others about self-realization. Be alive and enthusiastic in the Now. Challenge: Do not waste time thinking of the past; walk the royal road to life with confidence as it leads to the knowledge that You and God are, in reality, One. You do not trust yourself in some specific situation and are too attached to material things. You have the tendency to suppress yourself. You will not accept responsibility because you fear failure. You are too dependent on others and let your considerable talents entropy. Learn to recognize that the way into the inner self is through selfless service but not necessarily where your outer work is being done. The discovery of true service may necessitate a change in environment. Your future is bright with the potential of true service and spiritual opportunity where your heart truly lies. Increase focus within the enlightened mind in solitude, and await the arrival of that truth from the soul. All your spiritual experience is now synthesized within enlightenment. Allow nothing to disturb your equanimity. .
  82. 67. prince of pentacles: taurus in capricorn T he Prince of Pentacles is Enki the Sumerian the sea goat god. Taurus in the second decan of Capricorn gives determination, staying power, and energy to realize most of your dreams of being wealthy. If possible, you should be self- employed so that you can earn more than just a salary; your ambition might be frustrated if your income potential is restricted in any way. When the aspirant is ready the Master will appear. You’ve already been putting out the vibrations to attract one subconsciously. Now you have to do some serious examination of your personality so that the soul can become its Master. You must create a self-disciplined spiritual practice to be successful in integrating your soul and personality. This is the greatest challenge of your life yet success is assured if you stay focused with inner reality and less engrossed with problems. You are always looking for new uses for old things. You are a typical plodder, trustworthy and good, but almost entirely lacking in emotion. You are slow to anger, but not easily appeased when you do explode. You will stop at nothing to build your fortune. Everything and everyone is something to be used for gain. Challenge: As the Prince of Pentacles, ruled by Taurus, represents only the airy part of Earth you have not learnt that you are not the body/mind complex. You can be an enigma to friends because your rules rarely match those of society. Your individuality colors every thought and action. You have a way of shocking people because if there’s a different way to do something you’ll do it. All your energy is focused on material and practical matters. You cut yourself off the deeper meaning of life. There can be ups and downs and possibly some waste or loss. Use discrimination, plan carefully, and the future is yours. .
  83. 68. princess of pentacles; vulcan in capricorn T he Princess of Pentacles is represented by Ninhursag. She is firm and aggressive, and deals well with practical issues. She is also extremely clever and makes an excellent mediator. Vulcan in the third Decan of Capricorn gives the will to synthesize, lead, direct and govern. You possess the wisdom to teach human values. You have pure vision, direct knowledge as well as an ability to utilize Absolute Consciousness. Vulcan aids the inner guru to let you know that you are all that is. You are a tireless worker qualified to lead others for the benefit of humanity. Vulcan reminds you that you are part of the divine plan and you will be tested until you become an expression of the divine Will. This incarnation has one major lesson: how to stand free from all limitations whilst steadily giving love with complete detachment. Vulcan provides the point of fusion between your higher and lower selves. You are now at the stage in your life where complete enlightenment is attainable. Challenge: Prepare yourself for something new to enter your life. Intensify your meditation practice. You are selfishly lost in your own world with little regard for others. You can be a schemer because you are obsessed with material possessions. This creates a sense of urgency, which throws caution to the winds and creates waste and loss. Be ready to change these behavior patterns. .
  84. 69. ace of pentacles ; taurus & virgo T he Ace of Pentacles is symbolized by the Earth signs Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn, which gives importance to making practical and useful contributions to others. This key symbolizes the new age you are about to begin in which the sun and the earth are experienced as the energies that direct our lives. The Ace of Pentacles indicates potential prosperity, abundance, trust, and security. A seed of productivity has been planted although you may not yet recognize it. The Ace of Pentacles represents readiness to live a life that is inwardly and outwardly rich. The Soul anticipates new thinking, attitudes and love. You have all the assets to be materially comfortable and emotionally content. Your work is unfulfilled until you learn to put into practice the principles of right living into your life. Challenge: Work intensively on developing the potential for inner richness. Express your spirituality and creative potential in life. Examine life to see how its energy can work for you. Now is a time to be real and centered and make choices to feel secure. Common sense will tell you what to do. Figure out what will work and make your dreams a reality. Tap into the material force of the Ace of Pentacles, and all your enterprises will flourish. Become less infatuated with possessions. Greed corrupts and may give comfort but gives little real contentment. .
  85. 70. two of pentacles: saturn in capricorn T he Two of Pentacles is symbolized by the two serpents of good and evil contending for the universe. The Maya portrayed the Ecliptic as a 'Double-Headed Serpent'. Saturn in Capricorn is not a good placement for Saturn. It does, however, ensure a certain harmony in the interaction of dualities inherent in the 2 energy. Opposites are an illusion as all things are different aspects of the One. In the first Decan of Capricorn Saturn reveals the karmic laws of divine creativity. Taking control of the ego, with love, now supersedes attraction to material objects for without love there is no spiritual transformation. Saturn’s pure motivation drives daily activities. This is a time of great difficulty but there is no need for fear of failure because after many successive lifetimes of spiritual effort, Saturn always brings real order to this lifetime. Let the strength of your personality, particularly of your emotional nature; be transmuted into a genuine love for others and a detachment from identification with the false self. Use the ability to integrate polar opposites. Challenge: Look for dualities in your life, especially those involving the use of time. Obstacles, agitation, and troubles are more imaginary than real. Don’t suppress your adventurous spirit. Be prepared to shift goals as life passes through its various phases. Learn to demonstrate patience, tolerance, devotion, accuracy and common sense. Give up grandiose fantasies. Be responsive to new ideas and have original thoughts of your own. Give up the need for glamour. Observe tendencies of coldness, intellectual pride, obstinacy, criticism and forgetfulness. Ask yourself these questions: Who am I? What is my dharma? How can I stay in the Now? What selfless service can I perform for others?
  86. 71. three of pentacles: mars in capricorn T he second Decan of Capricorn is blessed with a full rich life. You have been brought into contact with thousands of different people from many groups and of all degrees, religions and points of view. You have fulfilled your family obligations. The discovery of your true service may necessitate a change in environment. You will find your close associates use you as a psychologist. Your future is bright with the potential for true service where the heart truly lies. This area of the zodiac creates the desire for material things and Mars, exalted in second the Decan, channels its dynamic energies into any role you play in life. While Capricorn gives discipline and total commitment to the ups and downs and long-term goals the Three of Pentacles in action represents: teamwork, planning and competence, which attracts capable people to work in a successful work environment. You don’t have to do it all by yourself. You are on the way to the top and you need to think everything through, go over all the possibilities and work out the details. Your colleagues may not be operating under the same powerful influence that you are so give them the appropriate assistance. This recognition and respect will increase your bank balance. Challenge: Don’t let laziness interfere with opportunities, as they are lost forever. You tend to be a workaholic and this will blind you to other aspects in your life. Personal life suffers in the drive to get ahead and you may find it difficult to do things just for the fun of it. Don’t forget to relax after the job is well done. Learn to recognize that the way to self realization is through selfless service that appeals to you. Think big, expand horizons, and allow your creative potential to express itself in planning and preparation.
  87. 72. four of pentacles: sun in capricorn H u Gadarn is a Celtic god-king associated with Cernunnos and Capricorn. Like Yaweh he battles the Addanc, the Welsh Leviathan. In the third Decan of Capricorn, the Sun gives a tremendous sense of purpose. You can now function efficiently as you possess the power to synthesize, lead, direct and govern fearlessly with integrity. You have the potential to become self-realized. Eventually you function in a state of constant integrated awareness and create something lasting to outlive you. Fulfillment comes if your practical suggestions improve the lives of others. Pentacles represent change, which means that you cannot be attached to successes as nothing lasts forever. If you resist change you are out of the flow and may lose what you have gained. The message of this key is that earthly power and riches do nothing for the soul. A solution to this would be to share the abundance you receive from life with others. This will eliminate any fear of poverty. The Four of Pentacles tells you that what you lose financially is gained in terms of contentment. Live in the present moment where problems do not exist. It is here you find joy and are able to embrace your true self, which is already complete and perfect. You now have difficulties in marriage, as you want to have too many others in your extended family. Try to compromise and become close to one or two people before you embrace the human race. Challenge: Blockages result from too much attachment to material goals and you have difficulty experiencing the reality of spiritual wisdom. Without the wisdom to help you manage your material assets, you will either squander them or hoard them. Both will lead to frustration and disappointment. Power without the knowledge to use that power frequently harms you. Attachment to possessions out of fear that you will lose them creates a miserable life because wealth gives little satisfaction as your waking hours are consumed with protecting it.
  88. 73. five of pentacles: mercury in taurus M ercury in the first Decan of Taurus is the sphere of hedonism and sensuality, which negates the simplicity of spiritual life. You deliberately take things slowly since you tend to savor just about anything you do. Impetuousness leads to worry and dissatisfaction. Trivial matters and immediate goals can disturb the romantic side of life. You do not like to be under pressure. You love music, art and literature and you have the ability to express love touchingly. A preference for material reality rather than spiritual abstraction seems threatening because when you think you are deprived, you suffer. Worldly possessions do not give inner peace and only working for gain brings spiritual impoverishment. Even though there is nothing to fear financially you are afraid that fate will take away all that you’ve worked for. You may also feel rejected but this is a figment of your imagination, as when you are at peace with yourself you will attract many around you. Whenever things are difficult it is only temporary. The losses incurred in this period encourage the search for deeper values. Challenge: Curb the obsession with money and avoid losing out on many of the other satisfying things in life. Look at your real self and a change in consciousness takes place, and then money flows effortlessly. Indulging in ego trips may seem to bring temporary success but will end in disaster. Learn that money is not god or you will have little, if any, time for anything else. You could become exceedingly rich but you could find yourself totally alone and unloved. An excessive appetite for food, drink and sexual encounters should be moderated, lest they destroy life. Find peace and solace in your spiritual center. Spend time in meditation and develop a spiritual practice, which will give the wisdom to deal with the difficulties in life. .
  89. 74. six of pentacles: moon in taurus T he Moon in the second Decan of Taurus gives a karmic period to rebalance excessiveness. To have or not to have is the question? The answer is that it is natural to share spiritual and material assets in demonstrable ways. But are your motives pure? Is there a price for generosity? Can you give without expecting anything in return? The Moon and Venus in the second Decan of Taurus express active intelligence. The Moon and Venus rule Taurus only in this Decan. Both planets are exceedingly potent because the Moon is exalted in Taurus while Venus is the natural ruler. The Moon expresses the basic intelligence of matter and form while Venus is the expression of pure consciousness. The Six of Pentacles asks you to look very deeply into material (resources) and immaterial (knowledge, power, love). Think of the successful businessman who suddenly declares bankruptcy. The victim dominates through weakness. The teacher learns from students. The parent controls by giving money. Never compromise or the inherent nature of Venus will rebel and fail to “make the most of things.” You are sensitive to noise and very detail-conscious, and you detest tight schedules, interruptions and surprises. Challenge: 74 – attracts undesirable friendships because you need to see in them what you don’t like in yourself. Use this experience to learn about your lack of giving and receiving. Beware of misplaced generosity and excessive spending on unsuitable causes. You may get into debt and suffer losses because you have been unscrupulous in business. Always question the obvious and go deeper. Why are you in the situation you’re in, and where is it leading? Who is really in charge? What’s really going on?
  90. 75. seven of pentacles: saturn in taurus I n the third Decan in Taurus, ruled by Saturn all obstacles are insurmountable. You tend to manipulate people through control and narrow concepts. When Saturn rules the third Decan in Taurus you will secretly long for guarantees of security as you have a deeply seated fear of change. Deep seated blockages, lost hopes, and lack of inspiration to inspire others are the result of hanging on to obsolete ways of doing things. Under the stimulation of Saturn in the third Decan the mind is inflexible and submerged in glamour and illusion. The mind is simply the receiver of impressions via the five senses and the brain. This is a negative condition because emotional reactions have clouded your perceptions. Diligence is the way to master the practical applications of spiritual knowledge. The Seven of Pentacles represents the moment to assess the situation. When we’re busy we don’t take the time to reflect on why we’re doing things. Are we still on course? Are we getting the results we want? Serious problems can develop if you don’t take stock at key moments. The Seven of Pentacles is not a card of endings or final decisions. The game is not over, but only on hold for a moment. Once you’ve assessed your strategy, be ready to work even harder than before. Challenge: You have an inferiority complex and need praise and admiration; otherwise you’re easily discouraged. Self-indulgence and laziness must also be watched. This key suggests that it is time to be sure you’re meeting your goals. The Seven of Pentacles can also indicate a crossroads in life for there’s a tendency to continue with familiar routines. To go in a new direction isn’t easy. The Seven of Pentacles may be telling you to figure out if you need a complete about-face. You’re not yet committed to a certain path, but you could be soon. Learn from failures and evaluate the results of your efforts.
  91. 76. eight of pentacles : mercury in virgo T he First Decan of Virgo, has Mercury, and is a fast-moving, versatile and communicative period. You are blessed with “eternal youthfulness,” an ability to communicate and have a natural curiosity about practically everything. You love to organize things and find it difficult to function well in chaos. The influence of Mercury (primary governing planet of this Decan) is dominant but the Sun (secondary planet governing this Decan) works for your benefit. The Sun in the first Decan in Virgo energizes achievement in humanitarian causes. The Eight of Pentacles symbolizes the impulse to broaden your horizons. This key implies the need for focus on current personal or business problems. This is not a problem for you as you are a genius in your given field. Fortunately, this kind of work is invigorating and leads to great success. This key can also show the need for meticulous attention. People who are painstaking are often dismissed as nitpickers, but their extra effort ensures everything is in divine order. It’s a matter of taking the time to check little details. Look for errors, tie up loose ends, and give it your all. Challenge: Think with the heart, for when lessons are understood by the heart they are automatically processed by the soul at a higher level. You insist that everything be “perfect.” Learn to take things easier and little less seriously. You take things personally and tend to be rather hard on yourself. You have high moral standards but when you fall short of them you tend to criticize others rather than yourself. Guard against overworking and neglect of your time alone for pleasure and relaxation. You can become impatient and frustrated with unfulfilled ambition if you do not live up to your ingrained high standards.
  92. 77. nine of pentacles: saturn in virgo M elusine, the dragon queen and Lady of the Lake, enters the human world to mate with a human being, bringing great good fortune until he makes the mistake of distrusting her.” The sun moves anti-clock-wise in the circle of the precession of the equinoxes and the sign of Virgo enters via Mercury in the first Decan, Saturn in the Central Decan and Venus in the third. Though primarily a materialistic key, as all the Pentacles are, the Nine of Pentacles has a spiritual side as well. A lifetime of work and refinement brings not only material rewards, but also wisdom and satisfaction as you expand the richness of spirit. Others probably observe your success but satisfaction for you depends only on you. Examine yourself and evaluate the balance between your material and spiritual assets. The Nine of Pentacles suggests that you must show restraint and self-control if you are to achieve your best results. You may have to “sacrifice” for the moment, but the results will be worth it. This key is also a sign of self-reliance. Sometimes you must trust your own ability to handle a situation. Resist the temptation to let others do for you, take matters into your own hands. Virgo’s determination has helped the situation so now enjoy the best life has to offer. Challenge: Excessive criticism of a lover leads to loneliness. Accept others as they are and curb your critical nature, especially towards loved ones. Show a deep interest in people and try to understand their weaknesses and strengths, their failures and aspirations. Identify what service and training you can give. Learn to serve unselfishly and strive to overcome your complexes. Perseverance gives spiritual revelation.
  93. 78. ten of pentacles: Venus in virgo V enus is in the third Decan in Virgo and is truly spiritual when purity, peace, and beauty are integrated. The human journey is part physical and part myth. When you become aware of full spiritual potential you participate in Two Worlds – The World Above and The World Below. The Ten Pentacles show that achieving balance in the material world is the way to success. Money comes without effort and this means that wealth will touch many aspects of your life. Mercury in Virgo indicates ideas have a practical application for financial success and status. You may be shy and retiring, preferring not to waste time in idle conversation. Although you like luxury, you really want wealth in higher consciousness. You are internally rich in spirit. Mental precision, analytical ability and total recall open you up to your divine self. When you feel strongly about something, don’t hesitate to make your case whether in politics or spiritual matters. You usually win because of your logic and charm. Challenge: The Ten of Pentacles is concerned with permanence yet change is an unavoidable part of life. However, constant change is uncomfortable. You need stability and the chance to work for a secure foundation in life. Work toward a lasting solution. Now may be the time to settle down and make arrangements that will work in the future. This key does not like change even though change is inevitable. Do not try to perfect the world around you until you have perfected your own world. When you’re stubborn you don’t appear as charming and easygoing as people thought. When you achieve material success, you don’t want to lose it. This is the conventional aspect of the Ten of Pentacles – following established guidelines and maintaining the status quo. Sometimes it is important to trust the known ways, but only when change is inadvisable. Concentrate on the long-term.
  94. Museum Quality Giclee Art Prints for your Sacred Space The inspiration to create the art for “The Galactic SuperWave Tarot” on a larger scale came from Iamblichus, the neo-Platonist who recorded ‘An Egyptian Initiation into the ‘Mysteries of Osiris’ to test the priest’s intuition, intelligence and moral courage. The priest was blindfolded, taken through the entrance of the Sphinx, and down a subterranean labyrinth that led to the temple of Osiris. After passing many arduous tests the Hierophant accompanied the initiate into a long gallery with 22 symbolic frescoes whose imagery is amazingly similar to the 22 Major Arcana found in the Tarot. The Hierophant, number nine in this book, then taught him the significance of the images and ordered him to memorize them. I invite you to meditate on this art and discover your inner guru.
