  3. 3. Holy Thursday On Holy Thursday Jesus gathered with his disciples to break bread with them. He said ‘This is my body, which will be given up to you.’ then he took the wine, gave thanks and said, ‘This is my blood take it and drink.’ Jesus took his disciples to the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus prayed to his father, begging him to spare his fate, but was interrupted and betrayed by Judas Iscariot and was arrested and taken before Pontius Pilate.

This mass takes place on the evening of Easter Saturday and the early hours of Easter Sunday.
