A voice behind me.pptx new

  1. 1. A Voice Behind MeEaster Version
  2. 2. Precepts & Concepts• It is important to statehere that I am dealingwith precepts andconcepts in thisteaching.• It is not specificallytailored to any personor personalities.• These precepts andconcepts that help usmake a much neededparadigm shift to live aneffective life
  3. 3. Precept• 1. principle: a rule, instruction, or principlethat guides somebody’sactions, especially onethat guides moralbehavior• A precept (fromthe Latin: præcipere, toteach) isa commandment, instruction, or orderintended asan authoritative rule ofaction.
  4. 4. Concept1. something thought orimagined: something thatsomebody has thought up, orthat somebody might be ableto imagine. Also calledconception2. broad principle affectingperception and behavior:a broad abstract idea or a guidinggeneral principle, such as onethat determines how a personor culture behaves, or hownature, reality, or events areperceived ? the concept oftime3. understanding or grasp: themost basic understanding ofsomething
  5. 5. The same challenges as thedisciples today!• Acts 1:6-8• 6 Therefore, when they hadcome together, they askedHim, saying, “Lord, will You atthis time restore the kingdomto Israel?” 7 And He said tothem, “It is not for you to knowtimes or seasons which theFather has put in His ownauthority. 8 “But you shallreceive power when the HolySpirit has come upon you; andyou shall be witnesses to Mein Jerusalem, and in all Judeaand Samaria, and to the endof the earth.”Be witnesses not just witnessto others
  6. 6. The same challenges as thedisciples today!• Luke 24:13-53• [On the road to Emmaus]• 21 “But we were hoping thatit was He who was going toredeem Israel.Indeed, besides all this, todayis the third day since thesethings happened. 25 Then Hesaid to them, “O foolishones, and slow of heart tobelieve in all that theprophets have spoken! 26“Ought not the Christ to havesuffered these things and toenter into His glory?” 27 Andbeginning at Moses and allthe Prophets, He expoundedto them in all the Scripturesthe things concerning
  7. 7. Why are we not seeing this?• Mark 3:13-15• 13 And He went up on themountain and called to Himthose He Himself wanted. And they came to Him. 14Then He appointedtwelve, that they might bewith Him and that He mightsend them out to preach, 15and to have power to healsicknesses and to cast outdemons• They had been with HIM.Service comes out ofworship not the other wayround. [Jesus at theTemptation & The Angels]
  8. 8. We are going nowhere until weget sick of where we are right now.• Revelation 1:1-3• 1 The Revelation of JesusChrist, which God gave Him toshow His servants—thingswhich must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it byHis angel to His servant John,• 2 who bore witness to theword of God, and to thetestimony of Jesus Christ, to allthings that he saw.• 3 Blessed is he who reads andthose who hear the words ofthis prophecy, and keep thosethings which are written in it;for the time is near.
  9. 9. The Book of RevelationNote it is the revelation of Jesusnot the anti Christ, lets note theblessing that comes withreading and hearing the wordsof this prophecy. We need to note, “He sent andsignified it” that is the messageis written in SIGNS or bysignification. Another thoughtwould be that He sign-i-fied i.e.He put His sign on it.• This means we have tounderstand types and shadowsas well as signification and theDIVINE ORDER God usesthroughout the Revelation ofthe Holy Scripture.
  10. 10. First the natural thenthe spiritual• Romans 1:20• 20 For since the creationof the world His invisibleattributes are clearlyseen, being understoodby the things that aremade, even His eternalpower and Godhead, sothat they are withoutexcuse,• It is revealed in order,Natural then spiritual, (Itseems though that indealing with Man Godstarts with the spiritualthen works outwardly butin revealing himself it isthe natural then thespiritual).
  11. 11. Some of God’s SignsWe must stop to explain typesand shadows as well as biblenumerology where the bibleconsistently uses certainnumbers to signify certaintruths.Man created on the 6th day isusually referred to with thenumber 6 God is representedwith 7, sevenfold Spirit ofGod; He rested on the seventhday etc.The number 3 is consistent, 3persons of the Godhead, SpiritSoul and Body, the threecompartments in thetabernacle of Moses andSolomon. Etc
  12. 12. Let go back to the book ofrevelation with this in mind.• Revelation 1:9-11• I, John, both your brother andcompanion in the tribulation andkingdom and patience of JesusChrist, was on the island that iscalled Patmos for the word ofGod and for the testimony ofJesus Christ.10 I was in the Spiriton the Lord’s Day, and I heardbehind me a loud voice, as of atrumpet,11 saying, “I am theAlpha and the Omega, the Firstand the Last,” and, “What yousee, write in a book and send itto the seven churches which arein Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, toPergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis,to Philadelphia, and toLaodicea.”
  13. 13. Let go back to the book ofrevelation with this in mind• Revelation 1:12-16• 12 Then I turned to see thevoice that spoke with me. Andhaving turned I saw sevengolden lampstands,13 and inthe midst of the sevenlampstands One like the Son ofMan, clothed with a garmentdown to the feet and girdedabout the chest with a goldenband.14 His head and hairwere white like wool, as whiteas snow, and His eyes like aflame of fire;15 His feet werelike fine brass, as if refined in afurnace, and His voice as thesound of many waters; 16 Hehad in His right hand sevenstars, out of His countenancewas like the sun shining in itsstrength. His mouth went asharp two-edged sword,
  14. 14. Let go back to the book ofrevelation with this in mind.• Revelation 1:17-20• 17 And when I saw Him, I fell atHis feet as dead. But He laid Hisright hand on me, saying to me,“Do not be afraid; I am the Firstand the Last.18 “I am He wholives, and was dead, and behold,I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades andof Death.19 “Write the thingswhich you have seen, and thethings which are, and the thingswhich will take place after this.20 “The mystery of the sevenstars which you saw in My righthand, and the seven goldenlampstands: The seven stars arethe angels of the sevenchurches, and the sevenlampstands which you saw arethe seven churches.
  15. 15. God’s Ultimate SignNotice, these articles are exactlysimilar to the items found in thetabernacle of Moses in thewilderness – Candlesticks Altarincense.• If we do not understand thetabernacle of Moses we will notunderstand the book ofRevelation.• Why because it seems to beGod’s signature throughout thebible and the key to unlockingtruths and revelations that willbless and move us into God’spurposes.• Today our signature oncheques, letters, agreements orany document identifies us and isbinding where it is foundsimilarly God’s signature type isthe tabernacle of Moses.
  16. 16. God’s Ultimate Sign• 1 Corinthians 10:11• 11 Now all these thingshappened to them as examples, and they were written for ouradmonition, upon whom theends of the ages have come.• God revealed his way to Mosesand His acts to the children ofIsrael, even the design of thetabernacle Moses received fromGod Himself and the biblerecords that Jesus blood wasused to pacify the heavenlytabernacle it therefore criticalthat to get the revelation herewe must understand this greatkey that opens up ourunderstanding of God.
  17. 17. God’s Ultimate Sign:The Tabernacle of Moses• This was to be a center forworship and a place where thepeople could focus upon thepresence of the Lord.• The tent constructed in thismanner was then divided intotwo rooms divided by anintricate veil of blue, scarlet, andpurple linen embroidered withcherubim.• The inner, western room wascalled the HOLY OF HOLIES. Itwas 10 cubits square, and itcontained only one piece offurniture – the holiest item inthe tabernacle, the Ark of theCovenant.
  18. 18. The crux of the matter• There seems to be runningthrough scripture 3dimensions of grace, which wemust look at to understandtoday’s revelation of scripture.• This seems to be God’s orderboth in the New and OldTestament, which follows asequence.• DEATH, BURIAL ANDRESURRECTION• BODY, SOUL AND SPIRIT• WHO WAS, IS AND IS TO COME• SAME, YESTERDAY TODAY ANDFOREVER• THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THELIFE
  19. 19. The crux of the matter• 1, 2, AND 3NOT BY POWER, NOT BY MIGHTBUT BY THE SPIRITFATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST• FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE• The best is usually in the thirddimension.• These are similar to thetabernacle of Moses on whichthe revelation stands OuterCOURT, HOLY PLACE and MOSTHOLY PLACE.• There is much that can be saidabout the revelation containedin the tabernacle for now wewill base our observations onthe type of light or illuminationfound in each section.
  20. 20. The Outer Court• In the outer court, the lighthere is natural and here as ittallies with the 3rd part of ourbeing our knowledge orillumination is from nature, theSun, moon and stars.• What we understand herecomes from our sense as thispart of the tabernacle usopened to all including cattle, life here is noisy full ofreligious activity void ofunderstanding and spiritualillumination, just obeying thelaw.
  21. 21. The Holy PlaceIn the Holy place comes variousarticles which are significant forinstance the altar of incensewhich is the prayers of the saint[Hebrews 13: 15] and ourworship and of course the tableof showbread type of food. But like I said we are looking atthe light or illumination foundhere provided by the lamp standand oil which is artificial orshould I say artificial.7 pipes a type of the Holy Spiritproviding illumination to feedand offer up prayer and worshipthrough the five fold ministry.
  22. 22. The Holy of Holies• The Holy of Holies, which is ourdestination and the desire of allour hearts, is a room of exactlythe same length breath andheight signifying, The TriuneGod.• There is only one item offurniture – the holiest in thetabernacle, the Ark of theCovenant. [At the death of Jesusthis was the veil that was tornfrom top to bottom]• Matthew 27:50-51• 50 And Jesus cried out againwith a loud voice, and yielded upHis spirit.51 Then, behold, theveil of the temple was torn intwo from top to bottom; andthe earth quaked, and the rockswere split,
  23. 23. The Holy of HoliesWe also have the Mercy seat andthe two golden cherubim thatface each other signifying thepresence of GOD Himself.• The Ten Commandmentssignifying the law in our heartsand manna supernaturalprovision.• However, we must notice thatthere is no natural or artificiallight here the illumination hereis GOD HIMSELF.Here we are totally dependenton God he is our life oursufficiency, our source foreverything.• This is God desire anddestination for His Children.
  24. 24. What has this to with thechurch?• Revelation 1:9-11• I, John, both your brother andcompanion in the tribulation andkingdom and patience of JesusChrist, was on the island that iscalled Patmos for the word ofGod and for the testimony ofJesus Christ.10 I was in the Spiriton the Lord’s Day, and I heardbehind me a loud voice, as of atrumpet,11 saying, “I am theAlpha and the Omega, the Firstand the Last,” and, “What yousee, write in a book and send it tothe seven churches which are inAsia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, toPergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis,to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
  25. 25. What has this to with thechurch?• Revelation 1:12-1512 Then I turned to see the voicethat spoke with me. And havingturned I saw seven goldenlampstands, 13 and in the midstof the seven lampstands One likethe Son of Man, clothed with agarment down to the feet andgirded about the chest with agolden band.14 His head andhair were white like wool, aswhite as snow, and His eyes likea flame of fire;15 His feet werelike fine brass, as if refined in afurnace, and His voice as thesound of many waters; 16 Hehad in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharptwo-edged sword, and Hiscountenance was like the sunshining in its strength.
  26. 26. What has this to with thechurch?• Revelation 1:17-20• 17 And when I saw Him, I fell atHis feet as dead. But He laid Hisright hand on me, saying to me,“Do not be afraid; I am the Firstand the Last. 18 “I am He wholives, and was dead, and behold,I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hadesand of Death.19 “Write thethings which you have seen, andthe things which are, and thethings which will take placeafter this. 20 “The mystery of theseven stars which you saw inMy right hand, and the sevengolden lampstands: The sevenstars are the angels of theseven churches, and the sevenlampstands which you saw arethe seven churches.
  27. 27. What has this to with thechurch?• Notice John heard the voicebehind him and turnedaround to hear the voice andsaw Jesus in the midst of thecandlesticks but thecandlesticks are the churchesin other words the CHURCH isin the second dimension.• This means there is morethan being in church than wehave faced there is more inGod than we have consideredso far in our walk with God.• Death, Burial andResurrection
  28. 28. What has this to with thechurch?• It seems we have assumedthat the church is the end forwhich Christ died, the churchis not in the holy of holies it isthe pathway we must pass to itbut not our destination.• Remember the book ofCorinthians and Ephesians’ saythat God has set some in thechurch, Apostles, Prophets,Evangelists, Pastors andteachers, to perfect or maturethe saints. “To do the work ofthe ministry and to edify orbuild up the body.”
  29. 29. ConclusionsWe are to be prepared andequipped in church to gofurther not stay but go intothat place in God.• What does it entail; it isliving a Christian life afterchurch. Going out to savesouls, helping the poorand the needy.• Do you know that Godnever asked theunbeliever to go to churchbut we are asked to go theunbeliever?
  30. 30. Conclusions• We seem to feel we havearrived by being in churchbut we need to go beyondchurch in worship andrelationship with God.• Let me challenge youtoday if we have becomeboring and isolatedourselves fromunbelievers and churchhas become where we getour shots something iswrong
  31. 31. Conclusions• Unbelievers are not excitedabout our lives and notattracted to church as manyhave become mechanical andpredictable.• This brings us into the kingdomprinciple the church is not thekingdom of God but thechurch is in the kingdom.• Kingdom is a sphere ofinfluence by a King God wantsus to increase his kingdom orinfluence we assume he wantsus to win people to ourchurch.• The Kingdom of God is the 3rdDimension of God.
  32. 32. Conclusions• We are to influence people inevery aspect of our life thechurch is the largest light undera bushel especially in our dailysecular life touch their life’s andbring the kingdom to bear.• Then we can bring them tochurch or the school for theprincipal or pastor to care forthe till graduation into life nothuge cribs afraid to bring God’sinfluence to our surrounding.• We can’t keep preaching overthe heads of hundreds to saveone soul or two when we canwin them and bring them to betaught and equipped to bringothers.
  33. 33. Parable - Luke 8:3-10• 5“A sower went out to sowhis seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside;and it was trampleddown, and the birds of theair devoured it. 6“Some fellon rock; and as soon as itsprang up, it witheredaway because it lackedmoisture. 7“And some fellamong thorns, and thethorns sprang up with itand choked it. 8“But othersfell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded acrop a hundredfold.”
  34. 34. Parable - Luke 8:3-10• When He had said thesethings He cried, “He whohas ears to hear, let himhear!” 9Then His disciplesasked Him, saying, “Whatdoes this parable mean?”10And He said, “To you ithas been given to knowthe mysteries of thekingdom of God, but to therest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may notsee, And hearing they maynot understand.’ (11)Nowthe parable is this: Theseed is the word of God.
  35. 35. Matthew 13:35-39• 36Then Jesus sent themultitude away and went intothe house. And His disciplescame to Him, saying, “Explainto us the parable of the taresof the field.” 37He answeredand said to them: “He whosows the good seed is the Sonof Man. 38“The field is theworld, the good seeds are thesons of the kingdom, but thetares are the sons of thewicked one. 39“The enemywho sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of theage, and the reapers are theangels.
  36. 36. Seed, The Word or People• The WORD Luke 8:11(11)Now the parable is this: Theseed is the word of God.• CHIDREN OF GOD Matthew13:38• (38) The field is the world; thegood seed are the children of thekingdom; but the tares are thechildren of the wicked one;• HOW ?John 1:14 KJV• (14) And the Word was madeflesh, and dwelt among us, (andwe beheld his glory, the glory asof the only begotten of theFather,) full of grace and truth. You are the word going to workor ministry, The kingdom isforged in the world [Egypt] not inthe church.
