Action For Development Through Libraries program Core Activity (ALP)  ALP program was launched in 1984 at IFLA conference in Nairobi, Kenya To further the library institution and library information service in the developing countries of Africa and also Caribbean. To promote the established and development of library and information services to general public. ALP also act as catalyst within IFLA for the organization activities in the Third World countries. To assist in continuing education and training

IFLA Core Activity on Preservation and Conservation (PAC) MAJOR ROLE:  To ensure that significant library and archive material, whether it published or unpublished in all format will be preserved in accessible form for as long as possible. AIMS:  To raise awareness to make sure information and heritage professionals, governments and the public of the fundamental occupied by preservation in the management of an institution
