  • 1. Paris Travel Information and Travel Guide - France Paris is the capital of France and the country’s most popular city. It’s situated on the river Seine, in Northern France. The Metropolitan area of Paris has a population of 11, 769,433. Paris is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with 45 million tourists every year in the Paris Region. The name Paris derives from a Galish tribe known as the Parisii. The city was called Lutetia during the fist to sixth Century, but later from the year 360 to 363 the king named the city Paris. One of the most popular attraction of Paris is the Eiffel Tower, originally named the Tower of the 330 m., is a structure made of iron and the design is from a French engineer called Gustave Eiffel. It was the tallest building in the world until 1930 when the Chrysler Building was built. The tower has three levels for visitors. The walk to the first level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the first to the second level. The third and highest level is only accessible by lift. The tower has become the most important symbol of Paris and France. It’s a popular icon. Paris has warm and pleasant summers with average high temperatures of 25 °C and low of 15 °C. In winter the temperature is around 3 °C to 8 °C, and rarely falls below the freezing point. Spring and autumn have sometimes warm

There are a lot of great places to go in Paris like museums or palaces. One of the most popular museums in Paris is the Louvre. It has many works of art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo statue made by Pablo Picasso and Auguste Rodin. It’s easy to travel between Paris and the rest of France, using the train. There are regular international flights too. The travel is not very expensive if you live in Europe, for example the flight from London to Paris it’s quite cheap. France It is a European country.
