Importing Ref Works Data Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Importing RefWorks Data

    Also applies if searching OhioLINK Catalogs directly.
    To Manually Save and Export Records:
    1. Conduct a search and mark and add your selections to a list.
  • 3. 2. Click on the “View List” icon at the top.
  • 4. 3. Select the records you would like to export and click the icon, “Export List”.
  • 5. 4. On the left side of the page, select “End-Note/Refworks” and on the right side, select “local disk” and click submit.
  • 6. 5. The next screen, with the File Download option, allows you to Open or Save a file named export.txt. Select the location where you want to save the file.
    6. Click Save and the screen will inform you that the download is complete.
  • 7. 7. Log in to RefWorks. (from the Library’s Quick Links).
  • 8. 8. Under the References tab select Import from the toolbar.
  • 9. 9. Select Innovative Interfaces (Endnote/Refworks) as the filter and Endnote/Refworks as the Database.
  • 10. 10. Browse to find the text file you saved to your computer.
    11. Click Import.
  • 11. 12. Your records should appear in the Last Imported Folder.
