Special Interest Groups (SIGs)SIG Children, SIG Environment, SIG Marginalized Community, SIGTechnology, etc.Structure :Headed by a senior volunteer, a committee and interested members.Selection of head and committee annually by members. SIG heads willreceive special recognition at annual VRC, and become LIBAS membersCommittee appoints subcommittee and team leader for programs andactivities. A committee called ‘Nucleus’ to oversee long term programsActivities :Based on group interest, inline with corporate strategiesAssist projects by HqCreate own projects/activitiesRaise own funding

Lesson learnedHealthy competition among SIGsTeam leaders show commitment and try to out perform othersBrilliant ideas and proposals by SIG volunteersPool of talents, potential leadersProduce brilliant reports by SIGs and teamsSocial media as main communication channelStrong sense of belonging to their SIGOverlapping of activities / program (scopes and dates)Resource scheduling become more complicated
