The World Bank Centre for Financial Reporting Reform Praterstr. 31, 19th floor 1020 Vienna Austria Multi-media and CMS Specialist (Recirculation) The Centre for Financial Reporting Reform is looking to hire a multimedia specialist who is expected to independently manage and maintain the Centre’s website and support its transition into a knowledge portal. In addition, the multi-media specialist is expected to support the Centre with photo, video and document/publication editing and design, and similar tasks. The Centre for Financial Reporting Reform is responsible for the World Bank’s corporate financial reporting activities across the Europe and Central Asia region. It provides assistance to governments in the area of accounting and auditing including analytical and advisory services, learning and skill development activities, know-how and knowledge transfer activities, technical assistance and institutional strengthening. For further information on the Centre’s activities, please visit our website: www.worldbank.org/cfrr Duties and Responsibilities Website development and management  Overall manage and develop the Centre’s website  Optimize the web site regarding design, structure, user-friendliness, navigability and quality  Work in close collaboration the World Bank’s IT team to ensure technical soundness, to integrate new templates and facilitate the migration to new templates, and to identify and implement state of the art communications applications and other web-based tools, e.g. blog, video, photos  Adapt materials intended for other media (e.g. Powerpoint presentations, Word documents) to the web  Develop and implement audio, video, photo and other materials Content Management  Provide content management on a day to day basis and ensure regular updates  Research, collect and publish relevant content from internal and external sources  Closely collaborate with other team members on content development including editing and summarizing articles Other  Support the Centre in identifying and mainstreaming social media, e-learning, social reporting, and similar tools  Support the planning for, design, development and production of knowledge management products such as publications, brochures, DVDs and other multi-media products the Centre engages in  Support the Centre in other knowledge management activities Qualification requirements  University degree, preferably in multi media, IT, web design, web publishing or other relevant area  3 years relevant experience in similar professional settings eg. web maintenance, content management, multi-media  Demonstrated track record and expertise in website and content management  Strong computer literacy including HTML, photo and video editing, document editing, content management systems  Experience with website design and multi-media design  Experience with public relation, marketing, and/or knowledge management  Effective communication and interpersonal skills, team player  Proactive, self-starter and resourceful personality, must be able to work independently with little supervision  Excellent command of English The position is considered to be long-term and integral part of the Centre’s knowledge management team. The assignment will be part-time (about 3 days per week) and it will be based on a flexible, free-lance/consulting contractual arrangement. Office presence is generally required but working occasionally remotely can be accommodated.
