Mission <ul><li>Through the collective strength, influence and professionalism of its REALTOR  members and local Boards, the Missouri Association of REALTORS  is dedicated to protecting the private property rights of Missouri citizens, promoting real estate as a catalyst for economic and community development , and fostering a business environment in which all members can succeed . </li></ul>

They are as follows: </li></ul><ul><li>DIRECTOR – a member of the MAR Board of Directors. </li></ul><ul><li>REPRESENTATIVE – you are a representative from the body who sent you, local board/association. However, when seated, you are representing MAR. </li></ul><ul><li>CUSTODIAN/STEWARD – you have been trusted to make timely and wise decisions for the members’ assets. </li></ul><ul><li>REALTOR® - an individual member of the REALTOR® Association at all three levels: Local, state, and national. </li></ul>

Your obligation and willingness to accept responsibility for your personal actions. </li></ul><ul><li>L – Your duty of loyalty . We assume that you are faithful to the cause of the REALTOR® association and will act accordingly to support their mission. </li></ul>

Recommendations </li></ul><ul><li>Chance to discuss and ask questions </li></ul>

Your Role as a Director <ul><li>Check in at the Meeting - After the District Briefings, Check in to pick up your Directors packet and Agenda </li></ul><ul><li>Sit with the Directors - Directors have reserved seating in the front of the room. This is important to help distinguish voting members from guests </li></ul><ul><li>Vote in the best interest of all Members - </li></ul><ul><li>We assume that you are faithful to the cause of the REALTOR® association and will act accordingly to support the mission and all of the members </li></ul>

  22. 23. Committee Day <ul><li>Sign Up Annually in the Fall or anytime with Staff or LT </li></ul><ul><li>Attend any open Committees/Forums </li></ul><ul><li>Most involve your input and ideas, between meeting work is limited to workgroups you would sign up for. </li></ul>
  23. 24. Committee Day <ul><li>Agendas and Minutes can be found at www.missourirealtor.org in the member section </li></ul><ul><li>You will receive materials in advance to review </li></ul><ul><li>All communication is by e-mail. </li></ul><ul><li>Participate, provide feedback and ideas! </li></ul>

Other Events and Activities <ul><li>Capitol Conference – January Meetings </li></ul><ul><li>RPAC Events – Auction, Golf Tournament, Mini-Golf, other fun-raisers </li></ul><ul><li>Educational Opportunities – CE and Professional Classes held in conjunction with business meetings. </li></ul><ul><li>Specialty Sections – Women’s Council of REALTORS®, Missouri CRS Chapter, YPN – Young Professionals Network, Appraisal and Property Management </li></ul>

Resources and Logistics <ul><li>30 Day and 60 Day Mailings – Informational E-mails sent prior to business meetings **if you are not getting e-mails, check with staff </li></ul><ul><li>Agendas and Minutes – Posted in the Member section at www.missourirealtor.org </li></ul><ul><li>Registration not necessary – You don’t need to sign up to attend the committee meetings or BOD meeting. **However some fun or paid events require timely registration. </li></ul><ul><li>Hotels can fill up Quickly – You are responsible for your own hotel and room reservations. </li></ul>www.missourirealtor.org
