FrazierEducation:BA Tufts University-International Relations-1990-awarded several university honorsJD/MA Duke University-School of Law and Graduate School of Arts and Science-1995Awarded Fulbright Fellowship to Libreville, Gabon-1991-Focus on the impact of thepetroleum sector on environmental policy formulation.Summary:Myra Frazier has almost 15 years of experience working in the energy and environmental fieldsrespectively. Ms. Frazier began her professional career in the energy and environmental fieldsas a Fulbright Fellow in Libreville, Gabon. She later joined the U.S. Environmental ProtectionAgency where she developed and implemented a program of technical cooperation between theU.S. Government and the South African Government as well as between a leading researchinstitute, the Energy Research Centre , (ERC), based at the University of Cape Town. Theprogram of technical cooperation focused on energy policy planning, air quality managementand climate mitigation strategies to assist South Africa with building the necessary technicalcapacity to participate in climate mitigation activities under international climate cooperativeagreements. The research teams work was featured at the World Summit on SustainableDevelopment, (WSSD-Rio + 10), held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2002. The researchteam was awarded the U.S. EPA Bronze medal for its efforts. Additionally, Ms. Frazier servedon the litigation team that negotiated the Consent Agreement Final Order with the ConcentratedAnimal Feedlot industry to encourage greater compliance with environmental regulations,primary the Clean Air Act,(CAA). More than 8,000 farms in 37 states have accepted the terms ofthe Consent Decree.
