2. Introduction
It is important that my three media products were consistent so
that my target audience could easily recognise the text due to the
similar themes and conventions throughout the three different
products, and the chosen genre.
My products need to clearly target my chosen audience
members, drawing them in to convince them to watch my film, by
tempting them with the teaser trailer, poster and magazine cover. The
promotion of my product is important because if the products to not
create enough buzz, the overall success of the film will be limited.

4. Consistent Style
The house style of my ancillary texts was fabricated around my
main production and themes of my chosen genre to make sure it
appeals to my target audience and is easy to recognise and associate
with my film.
This is apparent as I used a consistent font throughout all three
tasks. The font is clear and easy to read, which makes it easy for my
target audience to recognise due to how bold it is.
My audience feedback confirmed that the text was clear, easy to
read and can easily be associated with all three texts.

6. Suggest Genre
To suggest my chosen genre I used the iconography of our main
product, which was the bucket list, in my poster. Unfortunately, it
didn’t fit with the theme and conventions of a typical magazine cover,
so I just used it for the main focus of my poster. The bucket list easily
showed the genre of my film and that it was a teen drama.
Another element to suggest my chosen genre is the colours
used. I used pastel colours shown through the bucket list on both my
poster and magazine cover. The light pastel colours suggest the genre
and target audience.

8. Mise En Scene
The use of the costumes through each task clearly shows that
they are teenagers. They are seen wearing similar costumes
throughout my main product and ancillary tasks. This is also easily
identifiable to the target audience, as the clothing would be something
they would usually wear on a day to day basis, depending on the type
of person they are, but the costumes would easily be associated with
teenagers.
Again, I used the bucket list which, during my audience
feedback, was said to be successful and easy to identify the genre and
associate the three tasks together.

10. Promotion
To help promote my products to our target audience, I used
“#HEYHAYLEYMOVIE” to help appeal to my young target audience.
Due to the amount of social media they consume each day, my target
audience will be affiliated with hashtags, and will use this hashtag to
help promote a buzz for the film.
Another promotion element used within my products, was
“www.spotlightmagazine.com”. This website is used to promote my
magazine, which is common on most magazines and people will easily
be able to access more information on the website.

12. Conclusion
In conclusion although I believe my three tasks compliment each other
and easily work together to promote my film. I believe I was unable to
fully evaluate my tasks. If I were to re-do this, I would ask more in
depth questions and ask a wider range of audience members.
