Cloud Computing, o computación en la nube (click), es el termino en boga de la década. Pero… ¿Qué quiere decir realmente subirse a la nube? (click)Es subir a las montañasFunciona cuando hace sol o cuando está nublado?Es utilizar un portátil desde un avión?
Cuando hablamos de la nube estamos hablando de algo muy grande (click), a nivel mundial (click) y cada día es más grande
Para saber qué es la nube, empecemos sabiendo lo que no es la nube…Si tienes que comprar servidores, no estamos hablando de la nubeSi tienes que mantener tú la infraestructura, no estamos hablando de la nubeSi tienes que instalar software para usarlo, no estamos hablando de la nube
En realidad hace tiempo que estamos usando la nube, y ni nos hemos enterado, y ese es el espíritu de la nube, que podamos usarla sin notarlo y sin siquiera saber lo que es
Empecemos a explicar qué es la nube, cuando hablamos de cloudcomputing en realidad podemos estar hablando de tres cosas diferentes a tres niveles diferentes.Vamos empezar a explicar qué es el cloud desde lo que ya estamos usando, la punta del iceberg, que son las aplicaciones en el cloud
Hace ya muchos años que estamos utilizando aplicaciones en la nube, así funciona por ejemplo Hotmail: tú configuras una cuenta de correo y desde el primer momento puedes enviar y recibir correos sin instalarte ninguna aplicación, desde cualquier parte y sin saber dónde están los correos físicamente. No te importa la infraestructura o si está en un servidor o repartido en cientos de ellos. Están en la nube y no nos importa dónde estén, pues siempre tenemos acceso a ellos. Como las aplicaciones corrientes, pueden ser de pago o gratuitas, pero en este caso no las tenemos no las instalamos en nuestro ordenador. Entonces dónde están? (click)
Vamos a centrarnos ahora en la base de la pirámide, en la infraestructura, que es donde se construye todo.Esta es la capa donde se realiza el alojamiento, así que vamos a hablar de alojamiento en la nube, que es un concepto realmente antiguo, pero que está empezando a trabajar realmente bien hoy en día gracias a los avances tecnológicos.
Imaginemos que tenemos una empresa, hoy en día cualquier empresa necesita usar aplicaciones, normalmente caras tanto en precio como en costes de infraestructura y mantenimiento.Cómo funciona? Tu compras servidores, luego tu empresa crece y compras más servidores y más y más…y a todos esos servidores les tienes que instalar las aplicaciones para tu personal y todo eso lo tiene que manejar un equipo de infraestructura cada vez más grande…. Y que te cuesta mucho dinero sólo para mantenerlo en funcionamiento, los sistemas se vuelven muy complejos, necesitas alta disponibilidad y replicar los servidores por si se estropea uno, etc… y todo esto para una sola aplicación….Además, aunque no lo utilices vas a seguir pagando por tus servidores, pues hay que amortizarlos, pagar la electricidad, el local, el aire acondicionado etc…
Pero ahora tenemos una mejor alternativa a tener que comprar y mantener el hardware, es el Cloud computing.Lo que ofrece la infraestructura en la nube es que el datacenter de la empresa esté en un datacenter compartido y gestionado por otros, de manera que no nos tengamos que preocupar por gestionar la infraestructura.
Lo único que tenemos que hacer es conectar nuestra empresa al proveedor de cloud a través de internet y de manera automática nuestro datacenter virtual crecerá o disminuirá según nuestras necesidades del momento

Funciona como coger un taxi, cuando paras un taxi sólo por el viaje en el taxi, no tienes que comprarte el coche entero. Pues en el cloud es igual, pagas mientras estás subido a la nube y cuando no la utilizas no pagas.
En realidad, la idea no es nueva, pero si innovadora. Ya se hizo antes con la electricidad, antes de que existieran las centrales eléctricas cada fábrica tenía que comprar su propio generador eléctrico y producir su propia electricidad.
Pero más tarde aparecieron las compañías de distribución eléctrica haciendo accesible la electricidad a toda la población.
Qué significa todo esto, que ya no hace falta ser una gran empresa para tener acceso a un datacenter, ahora cualquiera puede tener acceso a una gran capacidad de computación sin necesidad de hacer una gran inversión
O simplemente, un pequeño negocio
Hemos hablado hasta ahora de la infraestructura y de las aplicaciones, en la parte central teníamos la plataforma, que es la otra forma de utilizar la nube. En la modalidad de infraestructura nos despreocupabamos del hardware, pero aún teníamos que instalar un sistema operativo y mantener el ordenador, aunque fuera virtual en la nube.En la modalidad de plataforma el sistema operativo ya está instalado y el mantenimento ya lo hace el proveedor. Nuestra empresa sólo tiene que poner su aplicación.

Right from the start, you can enter your Windows Live ID on your phone, and it will connect over the air to Hotmail, Messenger, SkyDrive, and the rest of Windows Live.
WP7is capable of enabling users to synchronize not only their email, but also their calendar and contacts list with Windows Live Hotmail Wave 4.
This is done through the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, allowing users to intimately connect their WP7 devices with Hotmail

SkyDrivecomes to complement Hotmail, allowing customers with WP7 devices to easily access and upload photos to SkyDrive.You can upload the photo to SkyDrive in one click, or you can choose to automatically upload photos as you take them.
On top of this, synchronization with the Cloud has been taken further yet. Notes in Office 2010 OneNote can sync between Office 2010, the WP7 devices SkyDrive.
But don’t think for a minute that WP7 is limited to stretching into Windows Live and nothing more.
Also you can see a feed of activity from your favorite people across Messenger and your connected networks including Facebook, LinkedInand MySpace.
If you lose your Windows Phone, you can track it down right from Windows Live. Simply go to http://windowsphone.live.com and you can locate your phone on a map, ring your phone (even if it’s on silent or vibrate), or lock or erase a phone that has been lost.
