      • While attending The University of Tennessee, Richmond Flowers received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and later earned a law degree from The University of Alabama in 1980.
      • At Tennessee, he was an All American in both football and track. Upon graduation, he played five years in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys (playing in Super Bowl IV) and the New York Giants.
      • In 2002 he was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and the Tennessee sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
