Please note that: sustainability reports are registered by publication year, i.e. reports published in calendar year 2011 are registered under 2011. organizations using the GRI reporting framework are not required to register their reports with GRI. GRI and its Data Partners collect sustainability reports with an Index (“GRI reports”), sustainability reports that reference GRI (“GRI Ref reports”) and other multi-issue sustainability reports (non-GRI reports). the North American Reporters List contains reports from 2010 to 2012 due to the fact that some organizations issue reports biennially. The list aims to include the most recent report. The GRI framework recommends annual reporting presenting data over the last three years. some organizations issue reports for internal use only, whereas the GRI framework recommends public reporting. These internal reports are not included in this sample as GRI and its Data Partners only list reports that have been identified in publicly available platforms.
