  4. 4. Roles performed by him in his career life • • • • Graduated in physics in 1954 from Saint Joseph's College, Tiruchirappalli. Graduated in Aerospace Engineering in 1960 from MIT – Chennai. As Scientist in Aeronautical Development Establishment of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) As the 11th President of India from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007.
  5. 5. IMPORTANT MILESTONES IN HIS CAREER • • • Appointed as the Chief Executive Of Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (I.G.M.D.P). He was honored with “Bharat Ratna” from Government of India in 1997. He won the 2002 presidential election with an electoral vote of 922,884, surpassing 107,366 votes won by Lakshmi Sahgal.
