New research finds that the vast majority of Italian companies don’t use Twitter. Only eight of the 40 members of the FTSE Mib have an active account and only Monte Paschi, Enel and Fiat use the microblogging site for corporate communications. Mondadori1 has the most followers. Italian companies need to explore the possibilities offered by Twitter before they fall even further behind their counterparts in the US where 25 of the 40 largest companies use Twitter.
