This is a list that I make every year about the most important movie or TV related award shows that lead to the the Oscars. I will upgrade it later with the Spirits and the actual Oscars. I think is a great place to see where it's stands and have an overall view. Hope you like it and if you do share.

6. 25th Annual Producers Guild of America Awards
After the Critics’ Choice Awards and the SAG, the actor’s categories look like they have
found their winners (because of the high fidelity of these awards as prediction to the
Oscars) but… how about the categories of best movie and director? That’s what the PGA’s
and the DGA’s answer to. In the last 6 years, the Oscar winner for Best Film has coincided
with the PGA’s winner (this prize has been correct in 17/24 of its editions on the prediction
of the top Oscar.
And for the first time in its history, the PGA’s revealed a tie in “Outstanding Producer of
Theatrical Motion Pictures” category what may shuffle completely the race. “12 Years a
Slave” and “Gravity” tied and both take home the award. It is to remember that the PGA’s
have more than 6000 voters and the voting system is similar to the Oscars.
On the one hand “American Hustle” seems to have less probability to win the Oscar, “12
Years a Slave” may not have the Oscar in the pocket, as many may think. On the next week,
with the DGA’s, we will have a better prediction.

8. 20th Screen Actors Guild Awards
The 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards honored the best achievements in film and
television performances for the year 2013.
In television, as expected, “Breaking Bad” was highlighted with 2 awards, including best
cast, while “Modern Family” won the same prize in the comedy categories.
In film, the winners confirmed here their favoritism for the Academy Awards. Difficultly will
Lupita Nyong’o, Cate Blanchett, Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey loose the Oscar.
“American Hustle”, even though not getting any individual award, conquered the prize for
best cast putting it in a good spot for the Oscar for Best Film.
