Visibility, Visibility, Visibility and More Visibility

Published on

“Visibility, Visibility, Visibility and More” is and MUST be the mantra for today’s network managers. They really need easy and focusable (filterable) access to the network and its precious cargo – data packets for Compliance, Security, Monitoring and Analysis needs. Most of you have made significant tool investments and now must get more out of them to support your networks growth in speed, complexity and criticality to corporate success. As networks and their usage get more complex you must be able to focus not only your tools, but your attention to the most critical and problematic areas of the network. You must be able to easily and quickly switch that view without disturbing the network or the other tools that are in usage! How can you do this?

Visibility, Visibility, Visibility and More Visibility

  1. 1. What Industry Experts Have to say about the Net Tool Optimizer from Anue Systems. “Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication” By Leonardo DaVinci
  2. 2. Ray Tompkins, Founder, CEO, gearbit Ray is a Senior Network Specialist with over 28 years experience in troubleshooting, design, and implementation. His background includes 911 emergency consulting, and identifying the root cause of critical network problems. His knowledge of network protocols (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VoIP) and how they work within the enterprise networks are the key in providing customer service though knowledge transfer and education. “It’s always great to find good quality tools like the Anue Systems Net Tool Optimizer. The Anue product at first glance revealed a well thought out product design. As I approached the GUI interface it became more apparent how true that was. Point and click to setup source and destination ports and just as effortless to configure complex traffic filters, no CLI needed! Well done, Anue!”
  3. 3. Anue’s Net Tool Optimizer Main console – Very Powerful – Easy Visualization
  4. 4. Betty DuBois is president of DuBois Training & Consulting, LLC.  With over 10 years of experience in protocol analysis both as a Consultant and an Instructor, Betty has performed fault isolations, application profiles, and network baselines for a wide variety of clients.  As an Instructor for Wireshark University, she is known for her ability to make a dry, complex subject fun and interesting by using both humor and real-world examples.  She has presented at Networld + Interop and is an experienced courseware developer and marketing collateral writer.  She holds a BBA with Distinction from the University of Michigan-Flint, and her industry certifications include Sniffer Certified Expert SCE, Certified Novell Instructor, Novell’s CNE, and Certified Network Expert CNX. “Setting up filters is a breeze, and having a complete GUI that understands that a right- click is where all the action is, makes using the Net Tool Optimizer from Anue simple and straight forward.  It’s the little details that make life easier; listing the hotkeys along the bottom, displaying current “Available Filter Memory” so you have immediate feedback on the complexity of the filter and how it affects the system, showing interface statistics with a right-click, wildcards in the filters, etc.  Great tool for the toolbox” “I like that I can see my license info under the System page.  Having the number of licensed ports and maintenance expiration data right in the software saves me time and a call to support. Great Job!”
  5. 5. Great Statistics – Easy to access – To assure successful visibility
  6. 6. “Anue’s Net Tool Optimizer’s web based GUI is intuitive and any network engineer can be up and running in a very brief amount of time. One can really appreciate their GUI especially if they have had to wrestle with a CLI interface before. The best part is that the simplicity has not compromised the functionality and has even added more with their full Boolean Filtering Capability. The tools simplicity, visibility and flexibility discourages the typical 'set it and forget it‘ approach that other vendors promote.” Tony Fortunato is a Senior Network Specialist with experience in design, implementation, and troubleshooting of LAN/WAN/Wireless networks, desktops and servers since 1989. His background in financial networks includes design and implementation of trading floor networks. Tony has taught at local high schools, Colleges/Universities, Networld/Interop and many onsite private classroom settings to thousands of analysts. Tony is an authorized and certified Fluke Networks and Wireshark Instructor. His Pine Mountain Group CNA Level I and II certification demonstrates his vendor neutral approach to network design, support and implementations. Tony has architected, installed and supported various types of Residential Wireless High Speed as well as hundreds of WIFI hotspots. Tony uses a variety of technologies from Powerline, Wireless and wired technologies to find the most cost-efficient and reliable solution for his customers. Tony combines custom programs, open source and commercial software to ensure a simple support infrastructure. Tony is the founder if The Tech Fir

  8. 8. “Simplicity is the Ultimate Goal of Technology” By Oldcommguy Today’s network solutions need to be available to all network management personnel and They must be simple and easy to use without the loss of the complex capability needed . This must be the goal of every company to assure the success of our industry and to stimulate its growth!
