      • You may come:
      • with your class.
      • with teacher permission
      • before school
      • after school with permission from your parent
    • Book Checkout Rules
      • Books check out for one week for grades K-2. One book per child
      • Books check out for two weeks for grades 3-5. One or two books per child.
      • Books may be renewed or checked out again if you haven’t finished.
      • You must pay for lost or damaged library books.
    • CARE OF BOOKS
      • Special place to keep books.
      • Keep away from food, water, pets, young children
      • Use a bookmark
      • Turn pages carefully
      • Don’t loan your book to a friend, recommend it
    • Steps for Checking out Books When You are with a Class
      • Go to your table to get your card with your barcode. Make sure it is your card.
      • Bring your card and the book to the table
      • Scan the card
      • Scan the book
      • Return to the table
      • Check for any torn pages
      • Read quietly until you get more directions
    • How to find a book
      • Use Alexandria Researcher
      • Do a Keyword, Title, or Author Search
      • Find the Call Number
      • Go to the right section (Nonfiction, FIC, E, BIO)
      • Look in Numerical or Alphabetical order for the book.
      • Use a shelf marker
