Loren Weiss earned his diploma from Stuyvesant High School in New York before attending the University of Michigan beginning in September 2012. Currently a first-year student, the Stuyvesant graduate closely follows the success of the Wolverines men’s basketball players as the team makes one of its best appearances in the NCAA Division I Tournament in the history of the program.

Michigan Wolverines Player Named to NCAA Mens Basketball All-American First Team Sophomore Trey Burke proved himself adominating force on the Wolverines men’sbasketball team for the second regular season ina row. Named the 2011-2012 Big Ten Freshmanof the Year by Big Ten media last year, he setthe school’s freshman record for single-seasonassists. As a sophomore, he has set the schoolsoverall record for single-season assists andcontinued his streak of winning some of collegebasketball’s most prestigious awards.

Sports Illustrated also selectedBurke as its National Player of the Year. In lateMarch, he helped advance the Wolverines to theNCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen for the firsttime in nearly 20 years.
