  • 2.  Vermont is located in the New England region of the United States. It is the fifth smallest state in the US.
  • 3.  Many mountains exist on the eastern side of Vermont. These mountains are a part of a long chain of tall elevations called the Appalachian Mountains. In fact, Vermont is named for the high peaks in its state. The Green mountains are a part of the Appalachian chain. ‘Ver’ , means green . Mont, means mountain (French).
  • 4.  The average temperature of Vermont is between 34 and 80 degrees. Winter brings skiers to the mountains of Vermont while a heavy snow falls. The color of the trees in the fall are vibrant colors of red, orange, and yellow. What a sight to see!. In the Spring and Summer, flowers bloom, the red clover is the state`s flower.
  • 5.  TALLEST MOUNTAIN: Mount Mansfield, 4,395 ft. LARGEST LAKE: Lake Champlain, named for Jacques de Champlain. STATE BIRD: Hermit Thrush. STATE TREE: Sugar Maple STATE`S FOOD: Maple Syrup, Cheese.
  • 6.  Go Skiing in the majestic mountains of Vermont…. It’s the best 0f the best.!!!!!!!!!!!  Make it worth going to Vermont by hiking the breathtaking trails all over the state. The trees , lakes, and rivers are the best part!  Burlington, a major city, has many attractions such as the Ethan Allen Homestead, learn about a Vermont hero and what it is like to live in the 1780`s.
  • 7.  Although Vermont is small, it still has a lot to give, beautiful wilderness, sparkly rivers, and much more, come to Vermont and you`ll see how fun it can be!
