VOLUNTEER POSTING EXAMPLE :: YOUNG PEOPLE’S PROJECT BROCHURE GRAPHIC DESIGN WORK ENVIRONMENT COMPANY: Young People’s Project COMPANY DESCRIPTION: Young People’s Project uses Math Literacy Work to develop the abilities of elementary through high school students to succeed in school and in life, and in doing so involves them in efforts to eliminate institutional obstacles to their success. Founded in 1996, by a group that included 8 eighth grade students from Brinkley Middle School in Jackson, Mississippi, it is Young People’s Project’s goal to train, employ and support 1000 high school students to become Great Math Literacy Workers (MLWs) over the next 10 years through partnerships with local organizations, schools and institutions.
