    How To Use Write N Cite From Ref Works - Presentation Transcript

    1. How to Use Write-N-Cite from RefWorks Geography/Geology 455 Remote Sensing Fall 2009
    2. Write-N-Cite
      • Log out of RefWorks if you are logged in
      • Open a new Word document
      • Name it and save it
      • Under Add Ins, click on Write-N-Cite
    3. Write-N-Cite
      • Within the Write-N-Cite window,
        • Log on to your RefWorks account
        • Check the box Always on top
        • To display references: under View, click on Folder, then RS 455 Practice
    4. Writ-N-Cite
      • In Word start typing a paper
      • To insert a reference, have your cursor where you want the reference
        • Click on Cite for one of the references in the Write-N-Cite window
      • Don’t be alarmed—it won’t look like a reference yet
      • Type another sentence and insert another reference
    5. Write-N-Cite
      • To see what the paper will look like in the end, click on Bibliography in the Write-Cite window
      • Make sure the Output Style is Remote Sensing of Environment
      • Click on the Create Bibliography button
      • Voila!! You have a paper with citations inserted properly and in the proper format and a bibliography at the bottom
    6. Write-N-Cite
      • Caution!! Be sure to check the citations to see that they conform to the style and are complete.
