Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding
100g soft butter (melted)
¾ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 ¼ plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon cocoa
2 cups boiling water
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon corn flour
¼ cup cocoa
Six to eight cup capacity ovenproof dish
2 Mixing bowls
Measuring cups and spoons
Bowls and spoons (to serve)
1- Make sure the kitchen is clean and
you have all your equipment and
ingredients to start cooking.
2- Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
3- Beat melted butter, sugar, egg and
vanilla essence together.
4- Sift flour and add baking powder and
5- Knead the mixture until it is combined
and into a ball.
6- Grease the ovenproof dish and flaten
mixture into the baking dish.
7- Mix the sauce ingredients together
and sprinkle over the pudding.
8- Carefully pour boiling water over the
back of a spoon onto the pudding
9- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until
pudding springs back when lightly
touched with a fork.
10- Serve with Ice-cream, custard or
cream and Enjoy (:
