  • 2. Soul Soul music started in the U.S and it combines gospel music, rhythm and blues.
  • 3. Rock It started in the 1950's. It uses electrical amplification.
  • 4. Country A simple style of folk music heard mostly in the southern United States. It is usually played on string instruments.
  • 5. Hip Hop Hip hop music is a musical style that uses rhythmic rap with background beats.
  • 6. Instrumental Music performed with instrument and no vocal.
  • 7. Gospel Music that expresses your christian belief.
  • 8. Jazz This is rhythm music that has a momentum called “swing.” The main instruments that are used are a cornet, trumpet, or violin.
  • 9. Pop Pop music means “popular music”. It is appealing to young adults.
