Elementary education in Bulgaria typically begins at age 6 or 7 and lasts for 4 years. Students study core subjects like Bulgarian, math, English, science, and history. The school day runs from 8am to 6pm, with classes lasting 45 minutes and short breaks between. Students can stay after school for homework help, activities, or just socializing in a supervised room. The goal is to teach students responsibility, manners, understanding of others, and respect.
