  • 2. What is the film about?
    • PLOT:
    • “ A psychological thriller centered around a black-ops interrogator and an FBI agent who press a suspect terrorist into divulging the location of three nuclear weapons sets to detonate in the U.S.”
    • SYNOPSIS:
    • “ The story hovers around a terrorist who has planted three nuclear bombs in United States of America and a black ops interrogator who is responsible to make that surrendered terrorist in divulging the locations of those bombs. As the story progresses it is witnessed that a combination of psychological techniques and extreme torture is applied on the terrorist who knows more than he claims he knows. However failure in able to crack the terrorist, the interrogator thinks the Unthinkable, applying the similar brutal methods on first his wife and then his kids and no one can dare to stop him for he has the clearance from the highest authorities. The movie is a tug of war between the terrorist and the interrogator and no one is ready to give up.

  • 3. Feelings Expressed
    • Straight away I start to question the female characters point; “He said he’s not gonna’ stop.”
          • Who is this male character? What is he doing?
          • I feel that this idea could be used throughout my clip, making the audience question constantly.
    • Also, the audience may start to question the fact that stereotypes and conventions are not followed.
          • Stereotypes/conventions could be applied to my clip, or I can go against them like this clip conveys.
          • Confusion of the audience can be applied to consistantly make them question.

  • 4. FILM ATTRACTION
    • Throughout the clip, questions will be asked by the audience, they will want to know the answer to their questions.
    • The way in which conventions are used throughout attract the audience as confusion is created. This creates a want in the audience to understand this confusion, making them go to the cinema.
    • The audience may feel they want to find out more about the characters within this film, they can then see how the situation they are in applies to them.

  • 5. SOUND REPRESENTATION
    • Throughout the clip, no music is used, most of the clip, silence is used to create suspense within the audience.
          • The dioulouge of the characters volume is increased or silence emphasises tension.
          • Silence adds to the suspense and creates questions for the audience.

  • 6. FAMOUS ACTORS
    • Several actors in the cast can be seen as characters to be involved in thriller’s;
          • Samuel l Jackson has be part of many casts that cover the theme of a thriller including; “Lakeside Terrace”.
          • Michael Sheen has been part of a range of themes films, especially thrillers including; “Frost/Nixon”.
