How does the trailer make you feel? <ul><li>As soon as the trailer begins, a tense atmosphere is present. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This is an effective features as the audience will be instantly engaged. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Also, a sense of fear may surround the audience due the clip having quite an unconventional start. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The film begins halfway through to ensure that the audience question the cause of this unusual occurrence . </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

What is the film about? <ul><li>Genre: Drama, Horror, Suspense, Thriller. </li></ul><ul><li>Synopsis: After a horrific car accident , Anna (Christina Ricci) wakes up to find the local funeral director Eliot Deacon (Liam Neeson) preparing her body for her funeral. Confused, terrified, and feeling still very much alive, Anna doesn't believe she's dead, despite the funeral director's reassurances that she is merely in transition to the afterlife. Eliot convinces her he has the ability to communicate with the dead and is the only one who can help her. Trapped inside the funeral home, with nobody to turn to except Eliot, Anna is forced to face her deepest fears and accept her own death. But Anna's grief-stricken boyfriend Paul (Justin Long) still can't shake the nagging suspicion that Eliot isn't what he appears to be. As the funeral nears, Paul gets closer to unlocking the disturbing truth, but it could be too late; Anna may have already begun to cross over to the other side. </li></ul>

What is the trailer doing to make you go to the cinema? <ul><li>As with any thriller made today; it creates questions that are not answered on the trailer within the audience. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The questions that are created within the audience are very much quite simple. However, some can be complex to purposely confuse its audience – this is what brings the audience to the cinema. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>As well as questions being created, thrills and shocks are used to keep the audience on edge – This keeps the audience in suspense. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

How does this relate to the genre? <ul><li>The star cast includes: Christina Ricci, Liam Neeson and Justin Long. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The star cast of this film suit this genre of film as Liam Neeson has been seen in a range of films including the genre: thriller. The same can be seen for the other two characters </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Also, the cast in this film work well together with much of the clips Mise-en-scene. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

How does this make you feel? <ul><li>Throughout much of the clip the pace is quite slow, although at key points in the clip the pace speeds up: </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This is an effective feature of the clip which works well together with the storyline of the clip. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The pace of the clip ensure that the audience are kept on the edge of their seat in suspense, consistently questioning the trailer. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

What emotions does the music evoke? <ul><li>The choice of music within the clip is very effective as it collaborates with the pace of the film trailer: </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Due to the music collaborating with the story of the film trailer, the audience are always on the edge of their seat when watching the clip. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The suspense created from the film trailer will mean that the audience are always quite tense creating fear in the audience. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>

What taglines or catchphrases are present? <ul><li>The quote from Liam Neeson’s character “Your dead.” and the reply “I’m not dead!” from the girl is very effect. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This adds tension to the clip. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Also the quote “Then prove to me that I’m really dead!” is very effective along with many other quotes. </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><ul><li>This along with many other quotes throughout the script are very effective as they all keep the audience on the edge. </li></ul></ul></ul></ul>
