    Reverse Osmosis Equipment Definitions
    Osmosis
    Pure water diffuses from the dilute side to the concentrated side of a semipermeable membrane.
    Reverse Osmosis
    High pressure is applied to the concentrated side of the membrane and pure water flows to the dilute side.
    Net Driving Pressure
    The pressure applied to the membrane to create the reverse osmosis. Typically 200 – 450 psi.
