“you can not have it all…” – indira nooyi
what some others said…
“we lower our own expectations of what we can
achieve,” -sheryl sandberg
“the baby's been way easier than everyone made
it out to be” - merissa meyer
“be first and be lonely” -ginni rometi
“i don't think feminism, as i understand the definition, implies the rejection of
maternal values, nurturing children, car...
“my mom was a teacher - i have the greatest respect for the profession - we
need great teachers - not poor or mediocre one...
“my mother's love has always been a sustaining force for our family, and one of
my greatest joys is seeing her integrity, ...
“when it comes to human dignity, we cannot make

everyday

at workforce are women
and they too manage their
work or career
family, bring up children
save money for that rainy day
take care of health for self and family
nurture people and relationships
self skill and learn everyday
the list is endless…
women in construction sites
in seed factories
in small towns
behind those revolutions
lead massive change, every day
manage work and play
and most importantly…
are celebrating vibrancy of womanhood
and are content and happy
they all prioritize..
they set goals and yes…
you too can.
and get everything you want
here’s how -
1. write it down, work towards it
if dinner with family on thursday night,
then it is that, even if it means missing
that late nigh conference call
it is about framing questions;
the answers are in the questions
you can if be a good mother, good daughter and a
professional
women have been doing this for
generations
can you have enough money – yes!
define ‘enough’
can i spend enough time with family
- – yes! define ‘enough’
can i lose weight? – yes! define
‘how much’
can women have it all?
a thumping yes
what does 'all' entail
career family, friends, community, spiritual?
pause and think
what is 'it' in, 'have it all'
once you have defined ‘it’ definitively
you are already on your steps to
achieving ‘it’
just the way you want
you need to now give ‘it’ that time
here are the 6 steps
1. define the ‘it’, your definite
purpose
2. split into goals, plan, action
3. review, measure progress; visualize
success always
4. keep around with right people that
inspire you
5. repeat, review every day, persist until you
succeed
6. act now, make it a habit
to summarize
1. define the ‘it’, your definite purpose
2. split into goals, plan, action
3. Review, measure progress; visualize success...
thank you.
