  • 3. How’re the band/artist represented? Is this similar across the videos?:In the music video, Alex Clare the artist is not presented in a specific way. He isnot shown much in the video, but when he is, he is only shown to be singing.Throughout the video, the main things that are shown, are two masked peoplefighting.In my video, I want my artist or band to be in the video throughout and representedas something else, not just themselves.
  • 4. What relationships exist between images and lyrics in the chosen video?:There is not much of a relationship between the images and the lyrics in the video‘Too Close’. The lyrics of the song are describing the love between two people andthe loss of one of them. The video is of two people fighting and this doesn’t reallycoincide with the lyrics.
  • 5. What relationship exists between the music and the images?:The music and images have some relationship, the music goes well with thefighting scene, but it changes at the right times, when the scene is just of AlexClare singing.
  • 6. Are there any inter-textualreferences to other media forms? If so who/what?: There are no other inter-textual references in the music video.
  • 7. Is it possible to see any common features in the music video?:There are some common features that occur in the music video, these are:Fighting between the two masked charactersAlex Clare singingThe same locations are used throughout the video.
  • 8. What taglines or catchphrases are present?:The only phrase used again and again is the song title ‘Too Close’ which isrepeated throughout the video and the lyrics.
