  2. 2. What is Global Warming?? Global Warming is the increase of temperatures of the Earth’s surface and oceans world wide since the mid-twentieth century by Greenhouse gas emissions.

  15. 15. Things to do to stop Global Warming Part 1 1) Replacing one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light will save 150 pounds of CO2 per year. 2) Walk, bike, carpool or take metro transit more often. You’ll save one pound of carbon dioxide for every mile you don’t drive ! 3) Keeping your tires inflated properly can improve gas mileage by more then 3%. Every gallon of gasoline saved keeps 20 pounds of Carbon Dioxide out of the atmosphere! 3) It takes a lot of energy to heat water. Use less hot water by installing a low-flow showerhead (350 pounds of CO2 saved per year) and washing your cold or warm water (500 pounds saved per year). 4) You can save 1,200 of CO2 if you cut down your garbage by 10%
  16. 16. Things to do to stop Global Warming part 2 5) Moving your thermostat down 2 degrees in the winter and up 2 degrees in the summer could save about 2,000 pounds of CO2 per year. 6)A single tree will absorb one ton CO2 of over its lifetime 7)By simply turning off your television, DVD player, stereo, and computer when you’re not using them will save thousands of pounds of CO2 per year. 8) Learn more and get active by going to ClimateCrisis.net
