A survey of 64 supermarket customers found the following:
- 55% shop 1-2 times per week while 41% shop more than 3 times a week
- 64% tend to buy the same types of products each time while 34% like to diversify their purchases
- 33% often find themselves with perishable food going to waste due to overpurchasing, while 38% never have this problem
- 61% would be open to a service that helps reduce food waste and save on uneaten products
- When asked about paying a small monthly fee for such a service, responses varied widely from €0-10, with 47% selecting €5
