1. Proper Postage As a user of Dymo Stamps software we wanted to share this information which we received from one of our friends at Endicia – the administrator of Dymo Stamps services for the USPS.The U.S. Postal Service®, through PC Postage® vendors like Endicia®, provides customers with access, ease and convenient postage solutions. The USPS takes every step possible to ensure PC Postage customers follow specific guidelines for printing postage.Unfortunately, the Postal Service® has identified a serious issue with shortpaid or unpaid postage on packages using PC Postage. Shortpaid postage results from not applying enough postage to the mail piece. It is usually the result of incorrect weight or package dimensions. Occasionally, unpaid postage is also the result of counterfeiting, replicating, duplicating, or otherwise modifying PC Postage labels or indicia. The Postal Service is increasing their efforts to identify shortpaid and unpaid postage accounts and to recover lost revenue. Please be aware that:Mailing an item with shortpaid or unpaid postage may result in your items being delivered with postage due or returned to you.Insufficient payment for items with shortpaid or unpaid postage may be deducted from your postage account. An account, with a negative balance that is not resolved within 10 days notification to you, may be suspended, upon the request by the USPS, from further activity until the deficit is resolved.Significant quantities of shortpaid or unpaid items will be referred to the United States Postal Inspection Service® for possible criminal investigation. To ensure timely delivery of your items, customers are reminded not to short-pay, duplicate, replicate, or otherwise modified PC Postage indicia or labels and to ensure the weight of the item matches the weight claimed.Sincerely,The Endicia TeamAs always, Label Value will be happy to answer your questions as well as provide guidance and recommendations. Label Value will also continue to stock Dymo Stamps compatible labels at significant savings vs. the OEM as well as postal scales to ensure compliance with USPS regulations in addition to protecting you from overspending on your postage purchases.
