1. How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary texts?
2. For each of the three pieces (trailer, magazine and film poster) we used the main character Mr. Applebee as he was the focus of the plot.
3. Our song fits in to the theme of HORROR. The genre has codes and conventions such as dull and gloomy colours, we used in all of our pieces. This makes it a brand of its own due to the codes of conventions the genre holds. Our trailer, magazine and film poster all work effectively together, this is because they have a dramatic edge: from the colours, the look, and the music which captures the audience’s eye. The theme throughout our project is clear and has worked well with the genre of horror, the codes and conventions.
4. Parts of the trailer are set in the red room, which corresponds with the magazine an the film poster. This is a continual theme that we wanted to have running through all the pieces to make it clear that they’re related.
5. All the titles of the pieces are all the same colour which is white , so it will stand out against the dark colours of the background and it is easily recognised by the audience The theme of the darkness is very prominent within the three products . This is due to low lighting with black and red effects to create the eeriness. This helps us to convey the meaning of a mystery waiting to happen, this appeared through all of our pieces for example the background, the images and the low lighting in each piece.
