  • 1.  What kind of climate does the Sahara desert have? Is this the same as our weather? How would that effect farming?
  • 2.  Egypt had a hot climate This meant they could grown more exotic foods like grapes, figs, water melons, dates, pomegranates, pumpkins, plums and many other fruits. They could also grown nuts and vegetables like lentils and beans
  • 3.  The Nile flows through Egypt What food do you think was plentiful?
  • 4.  Watch to see how they separate the grain How they make their bread And what extra ingredient they had in their bread……
  • 5.  Roast beef, with olives Lamb stew with lentils and peas Glass of wine Glass of beer Coconuts, dates and figs All served on golden plates. Have as much as you like!
  • 6.  Salted fish Unleavened bread Onions Glass of beer Served on clay plates.
  • 7.  Which menu do you think belonged to the rich person? Why? Which would your favourite meal have been?
