Board member Roshi Chadha announced that she has chosen to take a leave of absence from her various volunteer activities, including the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation Board. Mrs. Chadha said "I do not want the focus of these important causes to be distracted or diluted by issues that are unrelated to them."

The St. Mary's Foundation Board respects Mrs. Chadha's decision and thanks her for her continued support.

    • January, 29, 2012StatementRoshi Chadha announced today that she is taking a leave of absence from a widevariety of public causes; community and charitable organizations.“I am proud of my contribution to these causes over the past 20 years and expect tocontribute again in the future. I have worked tirelessly in public institutions that areimportant to me, and I appreciate the many supportive messages that havedemonstrated appreciation for my efforts. While a great deal of support has beenexpressed, I do not want the focus of these important causes to be distracted or dilutedby issues that are unrelated to them. These valuable public institutions have facedundue pressure from groups who have made them targets in order to put pressure onme personally. This behavior is unjustified and unacceptable. At the same time, I do notwant my personal and professional life to interfere with the governance andperformance of institutions that are important to me and to society. My values, principles, integrity and professional interests remain intact.” Roshi Chadha
