Overview of the services we offer for NDT using our RBI software, radiography, ultrasonics. NDT is essential tool in maintaining the integrity of assets.

For a long time we have supported a wide range of programmes with the commitment of £5 million per annum to the programme, which is divided into four key sectors.
    For young people at school we found the of Young Engineers Clubs in England and Wales and the annual Young Engineers for Britain competition. We also fund a number of Arkwright Scholarships that recognise exceptional students and projects which bring young people together to experience the fun of engineering. We work with university students by providing scholarships, including scholarships at universities, for instance in Szczecin and Shanghai, and by funding competitions and events.Also included in this sector is the annual scholarship awarded to an MSc student at University College, London, commemorating the opening of the new London Office in 2000 by HM The Queen. An MSc engineering student is also sponsored in co-operation with the Union of Greek Shipowners.The engineering and science professions are supported by funding lectures, competitions, such as the annual Safer Ship Competition, organised by the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, and projects at the World Maritime University.
    Research is funded by giving support to specific university research centres. For a long time we have funded, with others, a Safety Systems Research Centre at Bristol University and this is being expanded with a long term commitment, a University Technology Centre at Southampton, specialising in hydrodynamics, and the sponsorship of a Chair in Transport Risk Management at Imperial College, London.
