    Well done! This gave me a fresh perspective about horses and how they relate to humans. I’ve always thought of them as beautiful and intelligent creatures, but now I see them in a whole other dimension. I can understand how this therapy would be a powerful tool. Beautifully presented!

  3. How do they know?
  4. Horses are prey animals
  5. Horses are prey animals--
    • They constantly watch their environment for danger.
  6. These horses see a cow that wandered into their field.
  7. Horses are looking for things in their environment that are INCONGRUENT
  8. Out of place…
  9. Out of place… When things are incongruent, horses REACT
  10.  
  11. When things are CONGRUENT, horses RELAX
  12. Horses are curious…
  13.  
  14. And can be very interested in what people are up to…
  15. Horses don’t lie…
  16. Horses don’t lie… And don’t pretend that things are fine when they are not.

  18. This makes horses perfect partners for giving us FEEDBACK…

  58. Figure out how to keep our balance (or not)
