High School Philosophy <ul><li>L-MHS is a comprehensive high school. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Students are encouraged to take a wide variety of course work, get involved in athletics, fine arts, and clubs/organizations. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The high school task is to provide a well-rounded set of tools for each student…not to produce “specialists”. </li></ul></ul><ul><li>The changing workplace, the changing economy, the need for lifelong learning require this approach. </li></ul>

Sections of ART110U for 11 th and 12 th graders only. 11 th and 12 th may sign up for either ART110 or ART110U. </li></ul><ul><li>Course Description: This course is designed around the seven elements and principles of art. Projects will give students a better understanding of these art elements and principles through direct application. Emphasis will be placed on tone, line, value, and proportion. Students will also learn linear perspective drawing. Registration Process <ul><li>Step one: The high school counselors will be going to the middle schools to hand out and to go over the registration materials. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>If you do not currently attend a LM middle school, please contact Greg Hall or Laura Gallo for registration information </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Step two: The students will take the material home and work with their parents on selecting courses that they want to take for the following school year. </li></ul><ul><li>Step three: Fill out the course request sheet. </li></ul><ul><li>Step four: The students will register on-line using their Powerschool page (from home or at school if they do not have internet access) and the “window” is open from Jan. 25th at 7:00 PM and it ends on Feb. 5th at 3:00 PM. </li></ul><ul><li>Step five: Turn in the signed (Parent & Student) course request sheet to middle school guidance office. </li></ul>
