  2. 2. How did it start?LearningAugmentedRealityGlobalEnvironmentThe project - is designed tocreate a new type of learningenvironment that support theeducational/traininginstitutions in delivering theircurriculum in the mostattractive and effective for thelearners way.
  3. 3. • In the period of 2010-2011 within theresearch team of Magic Solutionsrecognized that Augmented Reality(AR) technology is some of the bestinnovative technologies of 21stcentury.• We uncovered that AR is used inmany areas of the social andeconomic life – marketing andadvertising, entertainment industryetc., but is poorly used foreducational purposes – only in someindividual cases due to its complexnature.How did it start?
  4. 4. • In beginning of 2011 we heard about European Commission LLP callsand very quickly prepared our proposal for ICT horizontal program ofLLP.• We created a consortium from different institutions that represent alltypes of education: schools, universities, VET and adult education:1. Magic Solutions - coordinator, Bulgaria;2. NGO Institute for Training of Personnel in InternationalOrganizations (ITPIO)- Partner, Bulgaria3. Empolese Valdelsa Development Agency (ASEV)- Partner, Italy4. Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU), Partner, Lithuania5. School Inspectorate of Bucharest (ISMB), a local public authority-Partner, Romania6. Tallinn University of Technology (TUT)- Partner, EstoniaThe Team
  5. 5. The Innovation• AR technologiesimposes to real video agraphic content like:– 3D objects– Video– Pictures– Audio, etc.

The results of our work• Users’ requirements investigation- we meet hundredsof respondents for this matter.• Many workshops were done for stakeholdersconsultation.• All these have addressed schools, universities, VET andadult educators in all the partner countries.• The methodology for the development of the softwarehas been produced.• We elaborated the software for creating LARGEplatform• We are testing it.

LARGE PlatformStructureThis Global Environment consists of a platform, serving as a basis for the system and anintegrated content development tool- Content Tool Manager (CTM), which will allow thecreation of appropriate educational/training AR content by the target groups.Everything is united in a Users’ Registration/Login system.Users- Viewing/Login/Creating/ Viewing/Editing Final ProjectsProjects are organized by Title, Author, Audience, Subject/Discipline, etc.LARGESoftwareand UserInterfaceCTM-Content ToolManagerMarkerGenerator
