  • 3. As job search has moved onlinePeople without internet access are at a disadvantage
  • 4. • The best place to now look for work is online• More than 25% of employers use only the internet to advertise job opportunities• Due to the governments Digital by Default agenda there will be changes to the job searching and benefit systems.• There are lots of different websites and online resources you can use with your learners to look for work
  • 5. Basic computer skills are needed to apply…Plus many jobs involve the use and require some knowledge of computers
  • 6. In all our libraries You can have free computer use andinternet access for up to 2 hours a day
  • 7. And many of our librariesHave regular free courses and sessions tohelp people get the online skills they need
  • 8. We start with the basicsIncluding that all important email account that you’ll need for job applications
  • 9. You learn at your own paceCompleting a short series of online practical bitesize courses
  • 10. When you’ve mastered the basicsThere are more advanced courses available to suit your needs or interests
  • 11. We have staff and volunteers available To help you at any stage
