  7. 7. Login to your account Using your library number and PIN

  40. 40. Now connect your eReader to your computer You may need to click ‘Connect’ On your device
  41. 41. ‘Adobe’ should now detect your eReader Which will appear in the left hand menu. The ‘Device Setup Assistant’ will launch

  45. 45. The eBook will appear amongst the list of items now on your eReader And you can now disconnect and start reading
  46. 46. Expired loans To delete them from your eReader Highlight the item, right click and choose ‘Remove from Library’
  47. 47. Windows 8 (and Windows 10) Users If you downloaded the OverDrive app, for use with the old eBook Library, you should uninstall it now (as it can cause problems with downloads from the new eBook library).
  48. 48. FAQs 1Q. You say that Library eBooks can’t be read on Kindle eReaders. I have a Kindle Fire, can I read your eBooks on this? 1A. As the Kindle Fire is actually a Android OS tablet computer not an eReader, it is possible to read Library eBooks on a ‘Fire’, using the same App as you would for any other Android tablet or smartphone. (see our separate guide)
  49. 49. FAQs 2Q. I accidentally clicked to ‘Save’ rather than ‘Open’ when downloading a book, what do I do now? 2A. If you saved the download file (it will be called URL Link.acsm), you will need to go to the folder to which you save it. Double click on the file and it should open the book in Adobe Digital Editions If the book isn’t now downloaded, see ‘common download problems’

Click on the time on your taskbar to open the full click & then click ‘Change settings’

If necessary, try de-authorizing your eReader, reconnect to your computer and let Adobe Digital Editions authorize it again.
  58. 58. FAQs 9Q. I’ve lost or changed my Adobe ID 9A. If you’ve lost your Adobe ID, you’ll need to create a new one. Go to bit.ly/getadobeid You’ll now need to re-register your computer and eReader.
