Returning Kindle eBooks Early• Returning your Kindle eBook early allows you to check out more titles on OverDrive (10 maximum) and sends the eBook to the next person on the waiting list.• This step is optional. You don’t need to “return” eBooks – they will automatically expire and you can’t read them after the due date.• Kindle eBooks are returned through your Amazon account.

Returning Kindle eBooks Early• Log into your Amazon account• Go to Manage Your Kindle• See the listing of your titles• “Public Library” appears next to library eBooks

Returning Kindle eBooks Early• Next to the title you want to return, click Actions for a menu of choices• Select Return this book

Returning Kindle eBooks Early• You will receive an email from Amazon stating that you returned the library eBook.• If you didn’t finish the book, you can place yourself on the waiting list again or check it out if it is available.• You do not need to return any eBook. If you don’t return the book early, it will automatically expire from your account.

Returning Kindle eBooks Early• Returning the eBook early removes it from your OverDrive listing so you can check out other titles. It will remain in your Amazon Kindle library.• If you wish, you can delete eBooks from your Kindle library. Click Actions, then Delete from library.

Deleting eBooks from Kindle Device• Deleting the eBook from your Amazon account (Manage your Kindle) will delete it from the Kindle Apps.• To manually remove the title from your Kindle device, click on the “Home” button. Underline the title you want to remove with your 5-way controller. Move the controller to the left and select “remove from device.”
