  • A Season of Art @ La Crescenta LibraryComprehensive Library Programming
  • What is a Season of Programming? The Friends of La Crescenta Library applied for a matching Library Foundation grant  We received $600 from the Foundation for a total of $1200 for the program budget  The goal was to create a programming for all service groups that was unified and themed
  • Developing the Concept Look to the community  For La Crescenta Library and the community art is important  There are a number of local artists and an art commission to promote art  The Civic Art in the Library was an important part of the design process
  • Branding Your Season Once we decided on a concept. I created a logo to brand the program. A Season of Art @ La Crescenta Library
  • Why Create a Season of Programming? Focuses and concentrates staff efforts Inclusive programming for all service groups:  Adults  Teens  Children A Season of Art @ La Crescenta Library One set of advertising for the entire season One template many possibilities A season of programming can build on itself

  • Teens Are You Looking for Community Service Credit? A Season of Art @ La Crescenta Library Teen Art Projects with Kids Teen Art Projects with Kids is an exciting new program at La Teen Volunteer Crescenta Library. Teens will Orientation work with a Librarian to plan and conduct art projects for kids on Meeting Saturdays. This is a fun hands- Thursday on opportunity for teens to earn up to 40 hours of community September 15, service. 2011 This Program is Sponsored by 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm The Friends of La Crescenta Library through a Library Foundation Matching Grant

Teen Art Projects with Kids is an exciting new program at La Crescenta Library. Teens plan art projects and then help kids complete them. A Season of Art @ La Crescenta Library The art history lectures were well received averaging 27 people for each program The art film series averaged 15 people per screening The art contest had over 30 submissions & more than 80 votes The 3rd Friday receptions were well received with between 20 and 100 people in attendance The TAP-K was enthusiastically received and has been repeated 3 times with many teens wanting to repeat the program
