  5. 5. WHAT IS STRESS ? Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger .
  6. 6. STRESS FEELINGS <ul><li>Restlessness </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of Motivation </li></ul><ul><li>Anger </li></ul><ul><li>Nervous </li></ul>

TYPES OF STRESSORS 1) Physicochemical stressor External environment represented by &quot;nature.&quot; For example, change in climate and weather. 2) Social stressor The &quot;social environment.&quot; For example, individual level, life environment such as work, home, and school, human relationship. 3) Biological stressor The internal environment. Some change occurred inside our body. Sickness and injury would be the easiest example for this. 4) Mental stressor Psychological condition such as pleasantness and unpleasantness. Mostly caused by above stressors.
  8. 8. NEGATIVE STRESS <ul><li>Negative Stress has a big impact on your life. The cause of negative stress can effect your emotional, behavioural and physical well being e.g. </li></ul><ul><li>Lack of focus and concentration </li></ul><ul><li>Poor Sleep </li></ul><ul><li>Weight </li></ul><ul><li>Depression </li></ul>
  9. 9. POSITIVE STRESS <ul><li>Positive stress adds anticipation and excitement to life, and we all thrive under a certain amount of stress. For example deadlines, tournaments and competitions. </li></ul>
