  4. 4. Develop a multimedia presentation</li></li></ul><li>MULTIMEDIA DEFINITION<br />Composed of 2 parts:<br /><ul><li> Multi (multus) : “numerous, multiple”
  5. 5. Media (medium): “middle, center” – agent for something.</li></ul>MULTIMEDIA could be defined as the usage of multiple <br />agent (text, audio, video, graphic & animation) for <br />disseminating and presenting information to audience <br />(target user).<br />

MM ELEMENTS : GRAPHIC <br />Graphical images can be used to add emphasis, direct <br />attention, illustrate concept and provide a background <br />for the content.<br />2 types of graphics:<br /><ul><li> Vector – represent an image as </li></ul> a geometric shape made up of <br /> straight lines, ovals and arcs.<br /><ul><li> Bitmap – represent graphic image</li></ul> as an array of dots (pixel)<br />File formats are TIFF, BMP, PCX, PICT, JPEG, GIF and PNG<br />
  13. 13. MM ELEMENTS : ANIMATION <br />Animation is a great way to add high impact to any visual material.<br />2 types of animation:<br /><ul><li> 2D – animating objects that appear in two-dimensional space
  14. 14. 3D – animating objects that appear in three-dimensional space </li></ul>and it can be rotated and moved like real objects<br />Special effects for animation:<br /><ul><li> Morphing

MM ELEMENTS : VIDEO<br />Bring a sense of realism to multimedia files and useful in engaging<br />the users and evoking emotion.<br />Sources of video:<br /><ul><li> Web sites, film, video camera, video clip and etc.</li></ul>Video format:<br /><ul><li> AVI, MPEG, SWF, MOV and etc</li></li></ul><li>DISCUSSION<br />Is it multimedia ?<br />
