  • KyungseogOh Kyungseog Oh, Software Engineer at Photobucket @bcoverston We've started off of Lucandra project to get the idea of how lucene index will work in NoSql database. However, since we started coding we have gone far away from Lucandra. Solbase leverages heavily on HBase scan API for efficient query performance. Also it has write thru cache for term vectors with smart byte manipulation for garbage collection reason. We've also have to modify Lucene and Solr to overcome some of its inherent memory issues.

    I guess we can give some credit to Lucandra project. However, at this point we feel Solbase became its very own open source project and it is far away from a straight port.
