Capturing and editing. This is a screen grab used to show the editing software. Aftercapturing our footage we had allot of footage to work with.Over 150 clips (not all relevant)
As editor I had to use different tools and features I havent usedbefore.
Editing to the beat was essential to this music video. During theintro of the song I had to keep longer shots to compliment thespeed and feel of the music. When it drops you can see the shots are shorter and more rapid.
SuperimpositionTo contrast narrative and the performance shots I had tosuperimpose the shots to create a reflective feeling, as if thesinger is narrating the night before.
For aesthetic reasons I used a colour correction filter to createmore contrast and adding a more visually pleasingcolour, hopefully this is more visually engaging.
With more happening in this shot colour wise, the contrast andsaturation is more apparent.
Cutting to the beat was allot easier when you can visually seethe sound waves on the audio track (bottom)When a snare or kick is played it will be visual and cutting onthese beats helped compliment the music with the visualsthrough editing.
